Review Update time. I dropped in here today for some carry out wings. I was greeted by not just one, but two girls at the front counter. They were very helpful in showing me a lunch special menu and answering any questions. Thanks to them I discovered you can get 12 wings, fries and celery and bleu cheese for cheaper on the lunch special than if you just order a dozen wings straight up.
Also, on Tuesdays they have .60 wings and you can get traditional or boneless. This will become my Tuesday hot spot for takeout now as a result.
When I arrived back at my office with my order, they had put in about 5 thick napkins, about 8 packs of ketchup, 3 of the little moist wet wipes and 3 ramikins of bleu cheese dressing an an order of a dozen wings. All of which was obviously done standard because I did not ask for anything extra.
It was my first experience with the traditional wings. Although they were not the best I had ever had, they were pretty darn good and I look forward to getting them for .60 each next Tuesday!
I have never been a big fan of this bar/grill. I am one of those people who like my meat to be fully cooked to where it is more dry and crispy than saucy and chewy and, in my experience, I have always encountered the latter at this chain and with Hooters.
With that said, I was pleasantly surprised when a coworker and I ordered 18 wings (1/2 lemon pepper & 1/2 hot) and the wings were actually cooked all the way through and the skin on the outside didn't match the texture of chitterlings. I'm not a chicken fan, in general, so I was excited.
Also, that damn bartender (light, sexy chick w/glasses, long, beautiful dreads, & a tight ass edge up), really was trying to get us drunk. I ordered a cranberry & vodka. Maaaannnn...she gave me vodka with a splash of cranberry. I mean, I'm sure it's based on her clientele but Damn! I don't even drink like that. I nursed that damn drink for the couple of hours I was there and had to force myself to drink the rest down before we left. Suffice it to say, my ass was drunk and I went straight to bed when I got to my hotel room.
I plan to go back to catch UFC 124 and look forward to more sizzling throat due to the wings and the strong drinks. :)
Wings, football, beer.....seemed like a good start.
Likes: Â Variety of sauces....big screens for football watching
Strong Dislikes....Tiny wings, too crowded, bad seating position, disoriented service, no garnish in my Blue Moon draft.
I know that sounds a bit girlie....but nowhere else have a had a problem getting an orange slice garnish in my Blue Moon draft. Â
Its too bad, not that many good football watching options in Lithonia/Stone Mountain it seems......looks like my next search will have to extend to the east in Gwinnett orConyers.....meh
