Bullwinkle's

I went to Bullwinkle's to watch an NBA playoff game and have a few beers. I sat at the bar and one of the staff changed the T.V.'s to a hockey game. Unfortunately there were three big sporting events on that evening. My bud and I had to move to another table because some of the T.V.'s were connected to one another and had to be on the same channel. The burgers were tasty and the pitcher of beer I had was well priced. The wait staff was attentive and I will be back to try it again.

This is not your typical sports bar.  I say that, because not every place seats you next to Sal Bando.  If Sal likes this joint, who wouldn't?  Seriously, it is what you expect in terms of fare.  You are going to see wings, nachos, oversized sandwiches, burgers, and the like.  But, it is really good bar food.  My husband and I shared two appetizers on a Sunday afternoon.  We went with the chicken quesadillas and an order of nachos.  Everything was prepared and presented nicely.  Nothing was overly greasy, even for a sports bar.  It's not Fourth Base, but it doesn't have to be.  It just has to taste good and accompany a beverage and a Brewer game.  That is not too much to ask.  Throw in the $4 margarita, and you have a happy sports [bar] fan.  My husband chose the super-sized Corona.  It was a little more than his belly capacity could tackle, but he said it was too good a deal to pass up.  This place is hard to pass up too, because it is quite noticeable from Bluemound.  Give it a chance, and you'll find a nice patio and pleasant food.  The servers are nice as well, even if the ref outfits are a little cheesy.  What would we do without a little cheese?  It completes the dining experience.  Well, cheese nachos help too.

Chicken dumpling soup and open face roast beef was excellent.
