Burger Barn Drive-In

Yeah this place was pretty decent.  Was it the best burger I've ever had?  No.  But it hit the spot.  I'd recommend making sure the burgers are juicy and delicious and not dry and overdone.  The flavors were well matched though. I'm not so sure folks in Irvine believe in mayonnaise and ketchup on their burgers?  Why?  This was the second place in town I've eaten at the doesn't use condiments on their burgers.  :(  And I have one more recommendation.  We live in the technology age where you can have a credit card reader on a smart phone.  Why aren't you taking advantage of this technology so your customers have some convenience to use their credit cards.  A lot of folks don't carry cash these days.  Just a couple thoughts to improve your cash flow.

You have to try the chicken plank box.  If you like Texas toast, creamy coleslaw, chicken planks, and fries, you are in for a treat.  I've eaten here since I was a kid, and I've never had a bad experience.  They're usually pretty quick, and you just pull up to the "barn" and wait for your order.  Haven't tried the shakes lately, but from what I can remember, they're thick, cold, and delicious.  Had to drop one star because they do not accept credit.

Good Double Decker and even better soft-serve ice cream. Service is pretty good too.
