Burton's Last Resort

So sad to see that Burtons closed on 1/1/13.... :(

We enjoy stopping here in the middle of a boat ride for drinks and apps. We stopped on Friday (July 6)  and also on Saturday (July 7). They were out of 3-4 of the apps and the server didn't even know what the drinks were in the frozen machine. Really? Aren't you supposed to know that kind of information as a server. On the second day, same thing. out of 3-4 of the apps and this time the server had no idea what the pear cider was that we ordered. There are posters of it hanging ALL OVER the bar. So, we enjoy Burton's but think they should be more prepared.

P.s. Try Magner's Pear Cider. DELISH!

I've been here a few times and have never been unhappy, or happy with Burton's. Their menu is limited, expensive, and the portions are pretty small. However, the atmosphere has a very "up-north-lodgy" feel, which is nice; The outdoor seating is great in the summer.

I would recommend this place to those who are going out for a drink with their friends, not to those who want a sit-down meal. Eat at home first, then go to Burton's for drinks.
