The Cabin Restaurant

An interesting restaurant with great gumbo. If the service had been a bit more attentive, they would have a fifth star from me.

Excellent gumbo, catfish, etouffee, shrimp, fries, buttermilk pie....everything!! I will most definitely go again!

My wife and I took a day drive from New Orleans and wanted someplace where we could try some local food out of the French Quarter.  So, based on the reviews we tried The Cabin for lunch and are glad we did - my wife wants to go back today!

We thoroughly enjoyed the experience.  They have taken care in the buildings they use (right down to the bathrooms made from an old water tank ;).  The service was exceptional and the food was great.  

We will be back.
