Truly charming restaurant on restaurant row in Rogersville. Â
We're from out of town and you certainly don't expect this kind of restaurant when you're driving on the main highway just parallel to Lee St.
I give it 5 stars for service and ambience
Had chicken casserole and choice of two salads - orzo and some frutti salad - give the food 4 out of 5, quite good but i'm quite stingy with stars. Â I give 5 stars only if it is absolutely divine so 4 stars is pretty good.
They have fresh homemade bread and a decent menu selection.
Probably best restaurant in Rogersville for lunch.
Dang Rogersville! You are getting all sorts of high class stuff in Downtown Rogersville! This place could have been hijacked from New Orleans! It is that cool!
Cafe Savanna is a coffee/tea shop that serves light breakfast and lunch items. The food is pretty snazzy for Rogersville. Breakfast items include a croissant pizza. Lunch offerings were interesting salads, soup and sandwiches. Everything is freshly made to order.
I had a tomato cucumber salad with beef vegetable soup. The salad was a nice sized grape tomato with tiny bits of cucumber salad with a lovely, but not overpowering, home made dressing. The soup was home made as well, and made one reminisce of days where folks had more time to cook good food like this soup.
The restaurant is lovely and modern looking. It sports a cheery patio area where one can spent time visiting with friends or people watching on the strip of Downtown Rogersville.
Cafe Savanna is a friendly spot to spend some time. I will be back on future visits to Rogersville.
