So delicious! We went here on the suggestion of a local. I'm vegan and my omnivore husband is super picky, so it was a treat to find a place that #1 had something he wanted on the menu and #2 was completely unphased by my dietary restrictions. I ordered the APE burger (no two are alike!), and ended up with the most delicious, inspired portabello burger. It was definitely a hit with both of us. We will be coming back next time we're in Sonoita. :)
Review Source:OMGoodness! Â We went here at the suggestion of a local. Â We were in town for wine tasting and needed a power lunch to keep going. Â This place has great service and fantastic food! Â They mostly serve sandwiches and a few salads. Â I had a half pound burger - smothered in cheese, chile and deliciousness. Â I was salavating as I was eating this thing! Â It was shared among the group and had a similar reaction thru-out. Â I also tasted the potato salad which was about as to die for! Â This place was so amazing, I will probably just drive out to Sonoita for a fun lunch!
Review Source:Wonderful place to eat! Â Delicious food and a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside. Our waitress kirsten was very kind and knowledgable of the menu. The burgers were massive and the dessert pies were awesome. The Cafe also has solar panels for an off the grid eco friendly atmosphere. I would definitely recommend stopping by if you are in the area. 5 stars

Service was excellent, food was generous and very good quality and the prices were reasonable. Â About $7.00 for a great burger. Â I had the Tuna Melt. Â It was delicious. Â Fries are hot and crispy. Â
Another couple in our group had the Sunday Brunch and they said it was excellent. Â
The restaurant decor is wonderful, cozy and clean. Â

We were headed to Sierra Vista from Tucson and decided to take the scenic route through Sonoita. Â I haven't been there in a few years and wasn't sure what our lunch options might be. Â And of course I didn't think to check Yelp until we were driving through an area with no cell service.
We pulled into The Cafe and thought we'd walk the dogs first, then go in. Â Unfortunately it was about 40 degrees and windy and the dogs were having none of it. Â The door to the restaurant opens and the gal who ended up being our server stuck her head out and offered to seat us on the patio so the dogs could be with us. Â Nice! Â Such customer service. Â We said no because the dogs were shivering too much and figured they'd be happier in the warm car. Â And because we didn't see any heaters on the patio. Â Still it was great that the staff was looking out for us.
In we go and are seated quickly and also by a portable heater, which I much appreciated. Â
The menu is small but everything sounded delicious. Â There were also three specials and I decided to have the fried chicken breast on a croissant. Â It had some spicy mayo and was just wonderful. Â The chicken breast was juicy and obviously had just been fried and the croissant was toasted just enough to have some crunch and not get soggy. Â
My husband ordered the chioptle burger and loved it. Â I had a bite and it was very, very good. Â Not terribly spicy hot. Â
Here's hoping The Cafe is still around the next time we're in Sonoita. Â I wish we could have stayed longer and maybe had some local wine but we had to get to Sierra Vista for an appointment.
Went to Sonoita/Patagonia 1/21/13. Â Toured Patagonia twice looking for a place to have lunch but there was nowhere open which looked like it would offer anything edible. Â Headed back to Sonoita but no restaurants were open til we stumbled on the Cafe. By then I didn't expect much but we were delightfully surprised. The black 'n blu salad was perfect. Â All of the greens, including on side salads, were crisp and fresh. Â Homemade burgers were quite tasty although medium was a trifle medium rare. Grilled cheese sandwich with pesto was wonderful. Â I will be back next time I am in Sonoita. Â Very attractive decor as well.
Review Source:This little cafe is just about the only place in Sonoita to grab a bite to eat and I must say their quality is quite good. It seems like a nice little family run joint with lots of windows to overlook the Sonoita wine country. I ate here recently after a wine tasting and was impressed the Eggplant parm was a well cooked eggplant (not mushy) and a good amount of quality parmesan cheese. I will definitely be back the next time I'm tasting wine!

Glad I asked. There was wonderful service, a nicely limited and excellent menu, clean and well lit space. I really could not have asked for more. Except maybe an upgrade on the coffee.......but then I come from Seattle a long time ago.
Now simply called 'the cafe' and under new management since December. Adam is new owner and cook. Clean and nice comfortable atmosphere. Â Fries were crisp and tasty. Coleslaw is homemade and tasty. Burgers were great. Juicy and cooked as ordered. Dinners range 10 to 16 dollars. Â Adam came out to make sure all was well.
Great view of plains and mountains. Stopped here after going to Kartchner Caverns and visiting local wineries
