Everything you would expect from your small, downtown pub.  This place will get SUPER CRAZY busy on St. Patrick's Day and days when they close down the square to traffic (Wassailfest, Wein & Saengerfest, etc.).   This is also a good place to hang out at during Halloween.   Everybody who is bar hopping in a costume will come through this place.   So just get a table with a view of the door and watch for entertainment.  

Here's a little tip you may not know.  Barry, the local strongman at the place, will queue up a playlist of tunes that is relevant to the event/holiday.   His Halloween playlist is something I have been trying to get from him for a while.

Wow!  A smoky divey bar with craft beer on tap!  Didn't know these places still existed.

Service was good and drinks were cold.

Kinda loud and it closes at 1.

A place where the common folk can hang in New Braunfels.

My wife and I have have been going here for years and we love their staff, pizza & beer selection.
