Canyon Bar & Grill

I saw too many people I went to high school with.

Great dive bar experience! It's about as good as it gets in terms of a "nightlife in Los Alamos" (who would have thought such a thing existed?) drinks are moderately priced ranging from $3-$6 and they don't have any specials. I was really impressed with the pear cider on draft. Tasted a tad like white wine with its own individual flavor.

Service is friendly (I would expect nothing else from such a small town) and there is free pool/wifi and they have tons of TV sets placed all over.

A-OK... if you're in Los Alamos and looking for a dive bar experience in a strip mall, this is the place.

My understanding from locals is that there are very few bar choices in Los Alamos.  So, Canyon Bar & Grill has a niche and should be packed, right?  But at 7p on a Saturday night, the bar was nearly empty except for a wedding party.  That said, the staff were nice & drinks were inexpensive.  

Note:  but the bathrooms were pretty grim (even for a dive bar.)
