Had just come out of the canyon not looking our professional norm....did not get seated or treated fairly...were told that 3 call-aheads were ahead of us....watched 6 parties of regulars get seated as we were ignored...we walked out the door and fellow came out to say we were next...yes, that was correct 3 seatings ago. Can't enjoy a meal where everyone is not treated fairly.
Review Source:It wasn't difficult to find, but the food was disappointing, at best. Â The infamous catfish was horrid to look at and tasted of stagnant pond water. Â The duck had no seasoning and the accompanying mango salsa was hardly present. Â Most duck dishes arrive on polenta or some type of root and involve a reduction sauce. Â This was thrown on the plate and a meager bowl of black beans (unseasoned/canned) was the side. Â The waitress was less than stellar and insisted my husband order the special "to save money" even though he argued that he didn't care. Â She brought out what SHE wanted him to have, instead of what he ordered. Â I ordered the coconut cake ($8) to-go and I'm attaching the photo. Â I actually can't tell what it is and I'm not sure I'm willing to try. Â $67 down the drain. Â Added bonus? Â Dry county! Bring your own wine. Â Maybe that's why my duck was so dry? Â Hmmmmmmm
Review Source:One of the best meals in a long time. Â Outstanding service. Open Wed. Thru Sunday for dinner only. Â Had the whole grilled trout which is fresh from a local trout farm. Unbelievable seasonings. The apple walnut bread pudding has to be one of the best desserts I have ever had.
A little pricey but not bad. Definitely will not be disappointed, well worth the trip.
