The double rod burger was really good! So full. Our waitress was on the spot. It's a small bare bones place that seems to be family operated. I do wish the bun was larger, you basically eat half of the burger without the bun because  if the size of the patties. I'd definitely go back.

2 lb club sandwich for $5.99!!!  How they do that I don't know but it was good...at least half of it was.  The remainder will be my dinner.  I did not get any sides but those who were with me did and they were plentiful and delicious.  The 1lb burgers looked and supposedly tasted great as well!

Went to Capricorn Inn and it was yummy yum yum.. very very good. This is my second visit, and although we've been living in Wilmington for over 20 years, I couldn't get my significant other to go because he didn't believe me when I told him ( after the first visit , which was over 10 years ago ) how big the Rod burgers were!
He said... that's not possible. So when I was finally able to talk him into making the short drive out to Capricorn Inn and we were served our Rod burgers, with an order of onion rings and cole slaw ( for me )...the only thing he had to say then was: mmmm  mmmm mmmmm..... this is really really good... And it was!
Best cole slaw I've had in a long time ( most restaurants cole slaw is too coarse and vinegary ,which is not for me. Capricorn Inn's cole slaw, was the way I remember cole slaw tasting back in the day, shredded fine and sweet... and like I say, it's rare to find a restaurant that does cole slaw right. Onion Rings?! Back in the Day Onion Rings too! Crispy battered fried and thick onions... Oh man they were good. And the Rod Burger, just like I remembered it from over 10 years ago! It was the same supersized patty and tasted like the hamburgers I remember my mother cooking.... For some reason the taste of hamburger ( at least to me  ) has changed at restaurants especially at fast food restaurants but also at some sit-downs. Don't know why that is, but I've noticed the taste change some time ago, but at Capricorn Inn, that old familiar taste was back ... it was very very very  good... Needless to say, we will go back and soon. I think I'll try the fish sandwich next time around... Oh forgot... Staff absolutely wonderful! Five stars for them too.. Everyone was so friendly, and personable to their customers satisfaction. And yes, it's true the comments about  Capricorn Inn décor.. is very accurate...But don't go there for the décor, go there for the food, and the wonderful experience  of going down memory lane when many roadside restaurants weren't  fast, but many, like Capricorn Inn,  oh so unforgettable...

Oh.... they're open 7 days now ( at least at the time of this review ( June 24 2013 )
    You should go~~~!!!!
