Yuck! Salsa and sweet tea was good....that's it though. Â Got a make your own plate deal and had a beef burrito, Â chicken enchilada & rice. Rice was okay. Â Chicken was dry with no seasoning...enchilada sauce may have been canned, and it was a kind of bitter. Â Beef in burrito was really salty. My husband ordered the Especial dinner which included a chalupa, tamale, taco, chili relleno, rice & beans. Everything was beef on his platter...again salty. Tamale dough was way too thick. Beef enchilada sauce again was bitter. Relleno was unflavorful, a watery, not fried like menu described, and had beef piled on top. The worst chili relleno we've ever had. The chalupa looked really good however it had a ton of beans piled on the shell instead a thin layer and there was beans already on the plate too....then they melted cheese (not cheese sauce) on the beans making it to where you couldn't mix the lettuce, tomato & sour cream for the salad. Ended up taking lettuce and all off and eating it by itself...the shell had turned to mush from all the beans. We've never had a chalupa with so many beans on it.Oh...and considering all the beef on the Especial dinner was salty, the taco beef was real bland and unseasoned. It was just odd altogether. The place was clean, restrooms clean, and staff was very polite and atmosphere & music was right. Â A place to stop in for some chips & salsa and a glass of tea maybe....otherwise you will have to use that restroom on the way out...more than once.
Review Source:No alcohol ...a dry town!!! Â This is a good restaurant, I ordered the Carna Asadia...(lol) my spanish...sucks...and Tony ordered the Aimee Steak and Shrimp combo..no alcohol, he was ready to walk out the door...even mouthed the words.." I hate this place already" behind the waiters back...lol!!!
The place was not crowded even though it was a Sunday around noon and churches were letting out. They have a full buffet, which was crowded but we ordered off the menu. He went with Iced Tea sweetened with lemon and I took Pepsi..My dish came with some peppers, beans and rice..and Tony's steak and shrimp came with steamed veggies and bread...He liked it ..it was 8 oz ribeye. I liked mine a lot as well. I would recommend this restaurant to others, the salsa was good!
After tips and taxes I paid $32
