Fun little burger place.
My family hits this place up when we're in the mood for burgers. Â It's the only option in the Concrete area, but luckily it's a good choice.
The burgers are not bad by any means. Â The fries are pre-made crinkle cut fries. Â Kind of boring, but by not means offensive. Â It would be fun to see some more locally grown 'burgercraft' type of ingredients out here in the country, but this place is good for what it is!
There are a number of different flavors of super-thick milkshakes, which is why you want to stop here. Â Service is fantastic, too! Â Plenty of 1950s Americana kitsch on the walls, a gigantic soda-branded menu board, and oldies on the jukebox to give this place a real roadside burger stand atmosphere. Â Worth a stop!
While spending one week in the Cascades hiking my family was in need of a much needed break from dehydrated meals. Â We found Cascade Burgers on Yelp, read the reviews and decided to give the burgers a try. Â We walked in stinky from our week in the woods and the staff of very sweet young ladies didn't mind at all. Â They were very nice and answered our many questions about their menu. Â Four of us ordered burgers and one ordered the grilled cheese. Â Our order was delivered to our table within a several minutes and with a smile. Â We liked the burgers and the friendly staff so much we drove an hour out of our way (from Hidden Lake Trail) to have a second round of burgers. Â Thank you for not throwing us out on our ear because of our sunburns, dirty and stinky hiking clothes. Â
Great bunch of ladies! Â Highly recommend!
Great little burger joint and a complete and total pleasant surprise. On a mid afternoon Monday the place was packed. Inside is small but has a great vibe and old diner feel to it. The staff could not have been more friendly and pleasant. A burger fry combo with a shake was more than I could handle. I had the mushroom burger and it was huge and awesome. Plenty of fries with their own special fry sauce. Strawberry shake was as good as they come. All very reasonably priced. Will be back again for sure. May even plan trips over the N. Cascades Pass around a lunch or dinner passing through Concrete. Never thought I say that, plan a trip around a stop through Concrete!
Review Source:I was here in August 2012 while getting supplies for camping at Baker Lake, this place is OK! It has a 50's look to it with old stuff all around sort like the Triple XXX in Issaquah Washington. The fries are HUGE stringy fries are great. I recommend requesting no salt and add to flavor. There was no substitutions allowed on the burgers and I could not get an answer on what was on the burgers. As the food was good, but I was not happy as I am with all my other Yelp reviews. I think it is worth a try again. They have room for improvement in customer service. The restroom was nice, and clean.
Review Source:WOW! I can't believe this little gem only has three reviews!!
My better half and I were coming back from a trip to Winthrop and were absolutely famished. I remembered passing by a burger joint on the way to Winthrop, and solemnly swore that on our way back home, we would try this place out.
The line was long, but the ladies behind the counter were extremely friendly. Such a wide variety of food options to choose from too! Lots of burger varieties and toppings, to burritos, corn dogs, chicken wings, you name it, they had it on the menu!
I held our spot outside under the umbrella while my better half waited for our food. Two cheeseburgers, onion rings, fries and a chocolate shake to share, or um, should I say, for me to drink the majority of while waiting for the food. It was just that good.
When our food was ready, one of the waitresses noticed that I had gone outside to hold our seat, so she helped my better half gather napkins and even opened the door so he could maneuver our tray of food to our umbrella table. He even commented about how kind the waitress was and how out of the ordinary being so observant and courteous is now a days.
Our food was just heavenly! I was extremely impressed, because the grill was being managed by just one young lady, when there were lots of orders being put in and a line of customers that continued to grow. She definitely knew how to "woman" that grill!
Not only was the staff excellent, the food was worth every minute we had to wait. If you're going through Concrete, don't miss out on the opportunity to have a delicious meal at Cascade Burgers!
Went with my wife to take some pictures in the area. Â Thought this was a decent little place; I had one of the specialty burgers, and thought it was pretty good. Â Good fries too, which is essential for a place seeking Americana credibility. Â Service was a touch slow, but that reflects that three people work there, and the food is fresh. Â
It's a small town place with mid-twentieth century flair. Â I like the joint.
