This is one of very few smoking bars left in Austin. Live music during the week and DJs on the weekend give this place a good variety of entertainment. Also they give a 30% discount to food and beverage service industry employees! I see a few people gave this place a bad rating but its been around for years and the menu has changed. Their philly cheesesteak, their pizzas, as well as their burgers are definitely worth trying... even at 12 midnight.
Review Source:It's not a restaurant, but a lounge. They have sofa and smokers everywhere. When I walked in, I felt walking into a chimney.
Everyone sat around the bar. We were waiting for the bartender to come to our sofa.
Took a while for them to realize there are people not around bar. I ordered root beer float for everyone. It tasted great in a hot summer day.
I also ordered crab cakes and avocado roll. Avocado roll is so small. Only one roll costs $7. And their crab cake is the worst crab cake in the world. It's so fishy and hardly can find the crab meat. Basically it's a fishy bread. I suggest not to try any food here. It's not a real restaurant.
Oh wow. This place has totally turned into a cigarette smoking haven! YUCK! I'm sorry but, this place used to be a restaurant and a separate bar. Now they took down the wall to make it one big smokey restaurant. The menu is limited and most everything is fried. I think my hair still smells like cigarettes. The bartender was playing darts and took 10 minutes to get our check. Then there was a mistake on the check and he took another 5 minutes to correct it. Overall, if you don't smoke: avoid this place like the plague!
Review Source:Alas, more mediocrity in the Lakeway area. Just returned from the sorriest excuse of a brunch. I should have high tailed it out of there when we first arrived to find only one other table occupied. I ordered the Eggs Benedict "California style" with a tomato and avocado. Why can't they just call it "Austin Style"? We like tomatoes and avocados in Austin. Â Let's not give the Californians another reason to think they're cool. Â One of my favorite things about Eggs Benedict is breaking into a nice runny yolk which melts into the Hollandaise sauce. My eggs however, were hard boiled. No runny yolk in sight. The waiter asked me if he could bring me new eggs and quite frankly I wanted to scream, "There aren't any other customers in here- tell the sorry excuse of a chef to do it right the first time!!!!!!!!!!!" Also, the husband asked for crispy bacon and it came out barely cooked. He asked for it to be crispier and they took his whole plate back. They returned a few minutes later with bacon that still wasn't crispy and the eggs were now burned. I suppose they put the whole plate in the broiler? Why not just leave his plate and bring a side of crispy bacon? Crispy means crispy! You should be able to crumble it.
On a side note, the decor is hideous. They have three different artists on display which creates chaos and confusion and while they have several windows, they leave the shutters closed which creates a dark, somber feeling. I just hate this place for some reason.
The whole fiasco cost us $29.00 I won't be back ever.
I am very surprised that I am the first to review this cool new hot spot in the Lakeway area.
I took my Sister here for her Birthday dinner while the Bro-in-law watched the kiddos and we had a great night out on the town without venturing out of Lakeway. Â We felt like we were at a swanky downtown Restaurant/Lounge without having to drive there.
The atmosphere is very upscale and the prices reflect that. Â But, then if you live in Lakeway you can save 5.00 on gas by dining in Lakeway instead of downtown.. I doubt most Lakeway residents worry about the price of gas - I just thought I would add my thoughts on that.
On a Fri at 7PM we had a 15 min wait. While we waited we checked out the Cigar/Martini Lounge. Â It looked like a fun scene for someone who enjoys smoke and the Martini menu sounds more like a dessert menu....
Once we got seated the food and service was perfect. I ordered Chicken cooked in Jack Daniels and Brown Sugar served w/ Asparagus and Garlic Mashed Potatoes. Â My Sis got the Fish w/ Pineapple Pico de Gallo. Â We were both very happy with our meals. Â
We had Sweet Apple Martinis for dessert  and left very happy...
