After a full day of wine tasting, an excellent dinner and three other bars, my group ended up here for some country music and cheap booze. A bit of an older crowd with a really laid back atmosphere. Lots of people sitting at actual tables and a very small dance floor for the few of you that like to twirl. A fun end to our night !

We stopped in on our way to Santa Barbara.  The service from Kayla was right on.  The grilled artichoke and cheese plate was absolutely fabulous.  The rooms with the spa's are all newly carperted and newley remodeling as i type.  Coming back to stay here.

One of the top spots in town to have a decent time.

The Cattleman's Lounge is the upstairs, sports bar brother of the Paso Robles Inn Steakhouse downstairs. My family and I stopped here for some lunchtime fare on our drive home from San Jose and unexpectedly had the most HILARIOUS dining experience of our entire lives.

The service here was terrible. The worst. Totally embarrassing for the Paso Robles Inn. We waited 20 minutes before we got menus! We didn't get our order taken for an hour! Our food came about an hour and a half after we'd walked through the Cattleman's Lounge doors and seated ourselves! By the time we left, we'd spent about 2 hours there -- not exactly what you plan on when you pull off the highway for a quick roadtrip lunch.

But here's the thing: the service here was so terrible, it was AWESOME. We died laughing at how absurd it was! There were two waitresses working, one blonde one and one redhead. The blonde one was bopping around, flirting her way into some serious tip action (one customer was chatting her up and said "Oh yeah, I definitely have socks older than you.") but the red head was so scatterbrained and making strange faces at us the whole time. She was talking to us like we were her sick children or something. "Do you want some ranch with that? Okay..." and she'd squash her eyebrows together. I'm still working on the perfect impression.

Our food was really delicious. That Cattleman's soup was so flavorful and spicy, but somehow still light and not too powerful against my carsick tummy. This was at least 4 star food, even if my little brother's fries had to be heated up again because our lackluster waitress was a little tardy in getting them out.

I wish I could give this business more stars. We actually had a wonderful time and enjoyed our meal a lot. The terrible service sort of added to the sports-bar charm and we felt totally alienated in a funny way. But I have a feeling that if my family didn't have the irony-loving funnybone that's been passed to me genetically, we would have been out the door after ten minutes of being totally ignored. Cross your fingers that you get the blonde waitress, but if you don't, maybe you can help me get my impression just right.
