Normally when I go to a gay bar there are a bunch of things that I am picking apart about the place, and I overall have a miserable time and end up not liking the place and just go there because it's there. Â This is not one of those bars.
In all fairness I have only been here a handful of times so perhaps it is too early to get a really good lasting impression on the place, but from each time I've been there so far I've had nothing but positive experiences
So far most of the staff that I have met here are actually really friendly and cool down to earth people. They don't give that I am better than you attitude, like you get in some of the bigger city bars, and that is a plus.
I am not a big drinker but I do like food and they have nice variety of some bar appetizers to munch on, of course they are mostly of the fried variety, so not bad for treat or a snack once and a while. Â
The other main positive I can take away from this place was how surprisingly clean their bathroom was. Most bars have disgusting bathrooms, but this place seems to actually clean their bathroom, so that is a nice plus.
The only real negatives about this place are the limited days they are open. I believe they are only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday but I may have got the days wrong, and they are kind of in the middle of nowhere. Â The road to get there is sort of creepy and I've seen too many horror movies so driving with nothing but corn stalks around you is a bit overwhelming, but they can't really take them down for me.
CC's is one of those magical small-town gay bars that you wish you knew about! People stop in on their travels, or after years away from rural Pennsylvania - and mix with the locals who always have a fascinating tale to tell. The music is fun and poppy. The drinks are strong. And, there's actually quite a big dance floor! Â I can't wait to go back!
