Been here several times now and each time it's been okay.

The wings and burgers are a high point, but I wouldn't venture too far from anything other than standard bar fare. For instance, the last time I was there I tried the Cuban, and the pork was like chewing on a piece of cardboard. For what it's worth, they have some great drink specials and love that they offer some beer varieties that are typically not seen OTP. When I'm not pregnant anymore, I'll certainly be back for the drinks!

UPDATE:  We went back the first week of May, 2013 because we'd heard that they have a new owner.  I have to admit that I was impressed.  We had the spicy grilled shrimp pasta and it was very good and very fresh.  The dish itself deserves 5 stars, but I'm waiting to try other dishes before I give them the other star.  We spoke with the owner, Doug, and he was telling us about the new dishes and we spoke with a man that was there applying for a job as the manager.  With a new manager, new owner, and new menu I think the place is worth the visit.  We were very pleased with our dish and plan to go again and try other dishes.  

OLD REVIEW:  This is our neighborhood bar and the food is terrible.  We've had several items on the menu and as it stands, everything was bad with the exception of some pasta dish.  But they've changed the menu several times and that dish isn't even offered any longer.  I think they have changed owners too, so I will give them another chance with the food.  The bartending staff are always nice.  Restaurant and bathrooms are clean.  As far as bars go, it is a nice clean place to hang out with friends.  Sometimes they have live music, or a dj but it is normally not very good.  Again, this is from past experiences, but they've recently changed owners/management so we'll give them a while to get their kitchen in order before we try their food again.   I'll update my review in a couple of months and hopefully can give 4 or 5 stars.

We went to last night and were surprised to see that many of our favorite items were no longer on the menu, example the house burger. We were told that many items were taken off to make the kitchen run efficiently and get food out faster. Fine. I completely understand, however, it took longer for food to come out this time than our previous visits.
We shared an order of wings, my half did not have sauce on it even though I ordered lemon pepper. I expressed this to my waitress and she brought me a container of dry lemon pepper seasoning. Ok....I was expecting them to be tossed with the wet lemon pepper wing sauce.
Moving on we waited for our burgers. When they came out our French fries were burnt, just like another reviewer reported. My fiancé did not eat his fries at all because they were so bad. I ate mine just because my burger was near raw. I am against sending food back, so I decided to take my burger home with me and finish cooking it there.
I really like this tavern, and I am hoping that they make it and are successful. After this last visit, we may give them one more try at some point since we have had a great experience in the past. If it is anything like last night, we will not be back. I must give kudos to the friendly staff though. We were happy to see our favorite waiter, rob still there. Take good care of him, he is great!
