We used to be a big fan of Ceja but our last trip to the tasting room was a disappointment. Â When we had visited in the past, we had received a lot of friendly and personal attention, as well as some extra wine pours during the tasting. Â Now, the tasting room is a lot more commercialized, with "flights" for sale that include the wines that are not on the tasting list. Â So if you ask to taste something not on the list, they ask you to buy the flight that has that wine available. Â This time around, our pourer seemed tired and bored, and rattled off a rehearsed description for each wine. Â The kicker, though, is not only the fact that tastings are not waived with a purchase any more, but that you can't get just one tasting waived. Â You have to buy TWO tastings, and they are only waived with a purchase of $100 or more. Â Talk about a ripoff. Â We had purchased one flight, one tasting, and two bottles of wine, and I had to haggle to get even the one tasting fee waived. Â That is not the hospitality I remember from Ceja. Â Also, the quality of this year's wines have declined from previous years. Â Too bad, but I think we will be trying other options during our next trip to Napa.
Review Source:Ceja tasting room in downtown Napa was our first experience and our best after visiting other wineries. Â The host was very knowledgeable and great conversationalist he also took the time to educate us and mapped out other wineries to visit. Â We liked it so much we went back to thank him. Â His suggestions were spot on!
Review Source:I recently open a Yelp account to share my experience  at The Ceja Vineyards Tasting Salon in downtown Napa. Ii visited the tasting salon on May 26 and wrote the reviiew on May 27. I did enjoy the wines and the great service by Edgar. Today I discovered that my previous review of Ceja and another review that I did for Bask restaurant in SF are been filtered. I do not know the reason for that. The Ceja review was a long one, but that is the way I write. Shame on YELP, I will be canceling my account shortly. I just want to let you know what is going on. I wonder why are they filtering good reviews? Anyway I did enjoy the delicious Ceja wines and the awsome setvice by Edgar.
