This place hits the spot for good, cheap BBQ.
Have been coming here for the past 3 summers and the food has always been consistent. Â The pulled pork is very moist and flavorful. Â Not overly seasoned. Â You can still taste the pork with a nice amount of smoke.
The brisket is not typical Texas style brisket. Â It is shredded and sauced. Â Nice hint of smoke and the meat has a nice flavor. Â Don't compare this to real Texas brisket and you will be fine. Â Tried their special smoked 1/2 chicken. Â Nicely smoked and very moist. Â Could have actually used a little bit of seasoning but pretty tasty.
Sides are decent, nothing great or too bad. Â You get great value at this place with large portions of meat for sandwiches or platters. Â Ordering by the pound is another great way to go. Â Family bought corn, buns, slaw, potato salad at Giant and got the meat here. Â Saved a ton of money and their price by the pound isn't bad at all.
