Charlie's Chicken

Excellent fried chicken on a Sunday afternoon!  Found this place via Yelp on a trip from Virginia to North Carolina.  The food was excellent (fried chicken comparable to nationally famous Gus's in Memphis), service was great and friendly.   Had a nice chat on the way out with Charlie and his wife who were genuine.  So glad we stopped and found this hidden gem!

Charlie makes some serious fried chicken. The patio is a nice place to sit when the weather's warm. Charlie goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. If you're passing through Amherst, this is the place to stop.

EXCELLENT Fried Chicken!!!!

At the suggestion of my SBC classmate DE, we ordered the fried chicken, chicken tenders and the taters for our recent reunion class picnic.  We were delighted by all three -- they were well-seasoned and perfectly cooked!!  Your chicken is rockin' -- Hot or Cold!!  

Thanks for making chicken so succulent & scrumptious that I dream about it on the West Coast!  Keep it up Charlie's Chicken...  you've got a great thing going!!  :)
