I don't think this location is affiliated with the official "Cheers" bar chain, although they used the logo. Â Â Located inside the Sandusky Mall, we were off-put by the small and neglected interior -- first impressions indicate that it's a dive.
However, we were pleasantly surprised by the service and the food. Â The menu had a lot to choose from and they seem to have some really interesting wing sauces. Â
Our dinners took a long time to come out, even though the place wasn't crowded. Â But that was okay since I wasn't really in a hurry and the food was worth the wait. A lot of thought was put into plating my chicken breast salad (which I found really surprising given the looks of the restaurant.) Â Â The bartender, who doubled as our server (and appeared to be the owner or manager) couldn't have been more polite. Â
I've been to tons of places with poor customer service these past few weeks, but I was pleasantly surprised by this find. Â Strongly suggest.
I finally gave this bar another shot after being turned off years ago by bad service and a pretentious staff. I'm happy to say that they definitely got it under control and it's become a favorite stop of mine!
The bar staff is great and the food is tasty and well executed for bar food. They offer a variety of specials every night of the week and have one of the best rated beer coolers around. The choices are endless!
Nice little sports bar. Â They have an expansive menu including bar food, award winning burgers and an award winning beer selection. Â The bar can seat about 50 people. Â They have 7 flat screen televisions and all the major satellite sports packages. Â The bartenders are friendly. Â Theresa and Barry especially are very professional and cheerful. Â I think Barry has won the People's Choice award for best bartender a couple of times.
