This place was interesting. The DJ was pretty descent. I like his hop hop choices. We came this past Friday night and it was so empty in there. Kinda ghetto to be honest. I saw three women give lap dances to their significant other. Someone actually took their seat and brought to the empty dance floor to give someone a lap dance. Luckily no clothes were removed. It was kinda gross. Pictures of women's hooters on the walls lol. The decor is really outdated, their chairs are really old. This place has potential being great, but it needs a face lift. Kinda dirty in there. Sorry.

Bartender chick ripped us off. Two tiny rum and cokes with barely any rum in them cost me $16 including tip. (and I mean tiny... 6 oz, mostly ice...) We switched bartenders after she pulled that nonsense.
My buddy is ordering drinks and having fun, but I'm trying to pace myself so I order a couple waters. They have glasses. They have ice. Hence they have water somewhere. Even if it comes from a tap. The d-bag bartender hands us some water bottles and says "That's all they have". So now he's ripping us off charging us for water so we can stay sober. In a boating community I think this is very irresponsible behavior, not only that, its downright despicable treatment of customers. Are you so desperate for money you have to nickle and dime us at every turn? At many bars/clubs I normally frequent they will give you water or comp you soda when you're trying to stay sober. I was just asking for water from a tap. It's either that or we could walk out and go somewhere else- it kind of makes sense to at least offer water, in the hopes you keep drinking or order some snacks later. Right? This place could give less then 2 sh*ts about its patronage, is scummy and ghetto behavior.
Later on my friend got his buzz on but he wasn't causing any trouble. I went to the restroom and asked the bartender to watch him. I was gone all of 2 minutes. I came back from taking a leak to find him being escorted out. Thanks for watching out for us after we blow $130 at your terrible bar, loser...
It's amazing what a crappy job bad bartenders do. If they had treated us right we might have liked the place and gone back, asked for our favorite bartender, tipped big, etc. But they treat us like garbage, not only we won't go back, but we give the place a bad review too.
Also of note, the place is a little small, and very stuffy. They have smoke going on or something but really they could have used fans and ventilation. It was a sausage fest, there were few fresh fish tacos to be found. I did see one with curdled cabbage and cheese.
Also to beware: They have weird hours. A friend lost their debit card on a sat night and we tried to go back to get it and they were closed all sunday. We even tried at like 9:30pm sunday when you'd think they would be open, but nope. Tried again Monday during the day, and then later at night and there was music inside but the doors had a bicycle lock on them, guess the employees were abusing access and didn't want foot traffic. So beware losing your ID's or credit cards, If you lose your ID or credit card at the chi chi club, kiss it goodbye. They also do not pick up their phone when we tried to call.
Avoid the Chi Chi like you would hopefully avoid the Herp a Derp
How does this place have any bad reviews!? My last trip to the Chi Chi club was very recently, on a Saturday night. I'm from LA and even compared to my local standards - it was going off! Tons of fun. My group was huge and we danced out asses off, which probably had something to do with my great time, but still...great bar. Enjoy!

1) I just wanted my Yelp profile to say that I actually went to and REVIEWED some place called the Chi Chi Club
2) Look, I like to have fun. I can have fun anywhere. I'm a huge believer in "It's not where you go, it's who you go with." That being said, this place is not the place to go if you want to actually meet someone. HOWEVER, if you want to go and get stupid with your best friend on an island in the middle of nowhere, then this is the place to do it.
3) The DJ was actually not half bad, and kept the BFF and I on our feet all night.
4) If you are a halfway decent looking female, you will have your choice of males to interact with...keep in mind that I didn't say you'd actually like your choices...
5) They have JELLO SHOTS. How can you hate any place that has Jello shots? You even smile every time you say it....see you just tried it! And now you're laughing!
Just go get stupid with Jello shots at the Chi Chi Club.

This place was such a joke it was fun. If you want a good laugh and are down to make a fool out of yourself with no consequences this is the place to be. The DJ was playing 50 cent, which made my girlfriend down to lick the lollypop. All in all, if you are on the island check it out cuz yhere isnt anything better to do at night, but just have a drink and bounce.

I admit the restrooms are not cleaned, but hey you are not paying to enter this place. Yes there are always drunk butts, but its always fun to see them fall on the dance floor!
Review Source:I went to Catalina on a business trip. Decided to unwind and have a little fun by going here with some coworkers. Well we got there early around 930pm and it was dead, but it was early so that was expected. They proceeded to play early 90's music....... until the club got full which was around 11:00pm. Then they proceeded to play late 90's music :-/
When i went the crowd was very mixed of many races.... also alot of drunkards. They aren't to strict on checking ID's, the "bouncer" is always missing, so just go early.....
It was alright, but then again its Catalina..... What other choice do you have?
This place is cool for Catalina I guess. It served its purpose as a dance club. I danced, I drank...but did I get some water when I asked for it?? NO. Apparently they aren't allowed to serve water from the gun/tap water. The bartender just kept telling me I had to purchase a $2 bottle of water. I said NO, I just want a little and I don't want to have to pay for something that usually you get for free. I just didn't get it. So we left.
The DJ is HORRIBLE as well. I requested a song and everyone was dancing...then once the DJ went back to his no name rap crap everyone left the dance floor. You'd think he'd get it, but I guess not. Then all of a sudden a slow song came on. Some DJs I think are just so full of pride for the type of music they like they can't fathom playing what people really want to hear and dance to.
The little comfy back part by the fireplace was nice to sit at. The pool tables I thought were random, but people were using em'!
I live in Southern California. The land of the racial mixing bowl and  non-seggrogated partying environments. I am in no way, shape or form, racist and have many friends of different races. That being said, when I walked into the Chi Chi Club with my girls, it was very weird to feel like the entire room was thinking "WTF are these white girls doing in our club?!" It was the weirdest thing. In fact, three of us were so weirded out that we left shortly after arriving and went for burritos.
Shit. If I can't dance my cares away, I'll eat them away.
Ohhh fuck sticks. After consuming too much at the hands of my BFF at El Galleon, we proceeded to this place for some dancing. OH wow, that's all I can say.
My friend is this exotic curvy half Asian girl, so she was beating drunk dudes off with a stick. We managed to make complete asses of ourselves, which we are prone to do when hanging out together. I don't remember much of the decor, other than we were trying to do 80's dances on some stage. The seating area is pretty big, and the floor size was moderate for little to no bumping at 2am.
Dancing failed us in the pursuit of working off our booze. So we meandered around and ate at this Mexican stand, all I remember was having some damn tasty nachos and drunk dialing
Went here after several drinks at Lua Larry's down the street. Â No one was dancing until we got there and started the party. Â Others soon followed but still most people stayed on the side of the bar and drank. Â The DJ was nothing special but what can you expect, it is Catalina. Â The drinks were not that expensive though I only had beers and most of the time others bought them so I'm not going to comment on the mixed drinks. Â Still, it seemed to be a good crowd for a bar/club off the main drag in the middle of November.
