The Chicken Kitchen

Biscuits are substantial enough to hold meat. Grits were done right. Eggs actually over easy.

Nothing fancy--it's a local dive--but I rated it 4 for expectations met. If you want a quick, cheap, tasty breakfast, this is it.

Not a regular eater here of meals after breakfast, but their biscuits are made from scratch....sausage is so-so, but the country ham or the pork tenderloin biscuits are amazing! 5 stars on breakfast.
They also do platters for breakfast with eggs and all the trimmings. Cooked to order so you may wait a while at the drive thru as it is a popular morning stop. For lunch and dinner, their fried chicken is average and their fried oysters are pretty good. My only complaint for lunch and dinner is a lack of good sides....instant potatoes and everything else is canned....mostly carbs and not a lot of green veggies. If they put effort into their sides, this place would have my business a lot more often.

This local eatery has (according to the sign) been around since 1972.  It is a local fast food chicken place.  Counter service only.

I enjoyed the drumsticks and breast that I ordered.  Nice crisp to the coating, good flavor, especially in the breast piece.  Lots of choice for sides, I went with mac & cheese and fries.

Not a spectacular restaurant, but good food and the counter folks were friendly.
