My husband and I enjoy dining at Chili's on an occasional casual weekend. We have gone for years and are always pleasantly pleased. This location is satisfactory and the customer service is decent. Like all chain restaurants on the weekend they too have a wait. The past few times we have avoided the wait by dining at the bar. Usually by the time our food has arrived, the crowd has been seated and the restaurant has died down.
Great bonus about Chili's is that they offer pretty awesome coupons via their email list-serve.
They have fun and tasty drinks and always seem to have specials.
Moving to New York from Dallas has left me in search of decent tortilla chips, salsa and guacamole. Â Of course, a chain restaurant that began in Dallas more than met my expectations. Â The food was great, the restaurant was clean and the service rocked. Â Shout out to Chelsea our waitress! Â She was terrific! Â I will definitely be back for a little taste of home.
Review Source:I've got to say I'm stunned by my last two experiences here. Â A couple of weeks ago my girlfriend and I swung by as a last resort because we couldn't decide on anything else. Â We tried their 2-for-$20 meal which is an appetizer and two entrees for $20. Â We weren't expected much but we were both pleasantly surprised. Â We came again about two weeks later and were once again pleasantly surprised, really seems like the chain has made a turn-around.
The first visit we got the guacamole to start which was really tasty, some of the better guacamole that I've had in Rochester (which really isn't saying too much), but still, really tasted fresh and had a nice kick to it. Â For entrees we got some sort of Honey BBQ Fried Chicken was was pretty tasty, exactly what you'd expect, and a Chicken Fajita, which was also really solid, and came with a really tasty pico.
The second visit we started with the Texas Cheese Fries, which were exactly what you'd expect a dish with that name to be.  Nice, thick, salty fries, with a bunch of cheese, a bunch of bacon, and some jalapeños, the jalapeños were clearly from a can which I'm never a fan of, but the rest of the dish was pretty good.  Then we got some of their "healthy" entrees.  A mango grilled chicken was had a really nice sweet flavor and a margarita grilled chicken which also had a great lime flavor and came with some delicious beans.  And to my surprise, both breasts were cooked really well, they were still juicy when they came out (usually at chain places it seems like chicken is always really over cooked and dry).
The service both times was also great, they assign two people per table so everything is always really prompt. Â Of all the places I thought I'd end up writing a good review for on Yelp, Chili's was not one of them, but this Chili's has been really great on back-to-back occasions, so I've gotta give it 4 stars!
