We came in for lunch with four adults and a toddler. Â When I saw the menu I was skeptical as the prices did not appear to be appropriate for the calibre the restaurant appeared to be. Â I was wrong. Â The food was GREAT, the prices were very fair. Â I had the crab cakes which were so-so until I paired it with the tarter sauce... Â Then my meal became WONDERFUL. Â This was a great stop on our drive back home.
Review Source:My parents love getting their Chop House Steak Burger - they usu. go to the other Pigeon Forge outlet mall location as a break from shopping :) This particular location is conveniently next to I-40, so I'm guessing many of the customers are traveling through. We came at 4pm on the way back from DC and it was surprisingly packed - and not just seniors either :) Food is pretty good and very reasonably priced, and service is friendly.
CHOP HOUSE STEAK BURGER - $10
My parents usu. get this - I had a bite and agree it's very good. I'd probably get this next time. My dad substituted the fries with a baked potato, and there was no extra charge.
TERIYAKI CHICKEN - $13
Mom got the chicken which also came w/ rice and broccoli. Chicken was good but on the salty side. She still enjoyed it and it's a great option for non-red meat eaters.
FILET MIGNON - $22
I was craving steak so I got the filet - looked small at first (like all filets) but turned out to be the perfect size. The flavor was nothing special though - however dipping the steak in my mom's teriyaki sauce made it more tasty. I told the server they should consider adding a teriyaki steak to their menu - after all they've got all the ingredients. This dish also came w/ a baked potato and salad - the salad was good.
Overall 3.5 stars rounded to 4 for the steak burger and reasonable prices.
So. The family went last weekend (party of 5 including 3 kids) and we had a great experience there. Â I had the Santa Fe Salad and wife had burger. Â Burger wasn't ALL that ... but, whatever.
Service was good and the food was good. Â
Bread is very good with honey butter.
Would go back if passing through. Â
I perceived the place to be clean as well when I was there.
I am debating between giving this place a 4 star for the food and a 2 star for the cleanliness.
We had a table next to the window looking over the mountains and interstate. They have a great outdoor seating with a good view.
The food was delicious. We started with the Spinach Quezo dip. The chips were light and the dip was not heavy or sticky. My friend had a large bowl of Seafood Chowder which she said was very tasty. Another friend had the baby back ribs which were also tender and tasty. Â I had the lamb chops which were very juicy and moist and creamed spinach. All the meals were very good and well done.
The waitress was very nice. It did take a while for my drink to get to the table, but other than that, timing was good. She made sure our waters / drinks were full. Â
The downfall was the cleanliness of the floors. The wood floor where we were near the bar was sticky all over. The carpet was very dirty. The area in front of the doors going in / out of the kitchen was black. Â The overwhelming need to hire a cleaning crew to clean the carpets on a regular basis. Â Because of the dirty / sticky floors I can't give them a 4 star.
They have an open kitchen where you are close to the cooking, but in my own personal opinion, I think it's a little too open to the public.
The parking is shared with other buisnesses, so it makes it cozy to find a parking spot.
I may try another Chop House, but probably would not go to this one.
