Went to check the place out on a special event Friday night. Â Club was empty and then the crowd hit. Â Within minutes the club was sweltering. Â The temperature must have been above 95 because that's the point where I start sweating. Â Even the door guy was dripping and mopping, and he was close to the open doors where it was cooler from outside.
I complained about the temperature and lack of A/C to the staff. Â The answer was, "There's a lot of people here!" Well duh! Â After a while I couldn't take it anymore and requested a refund of the cover charge ($8--more on that in a minute). Â To make a long story short, they refused a refund even after finally admitting the A/C wasn't working. Â Then Jeff, head of security, got real obnoxious and told me to step outside and I complied. Â Then they just ignored me, kept me waiting for the manager and then argued with me about my expectations to dance in a club where the temperature was reasonable. Â Finally, they said I had finished one drink so that disqualified me for a refund and if I wanted to complain to call the police.
I did talk to a police officer that was watching the parking lot. Â He said there have been many problems with this club, but he didn't elaborate.
And now to show what real racist jerks they have working at this club. Â I watched several people enter and pay the $8 cover. Â Then a young black man came in and they told him it was $10! Â When he started to pay, they came up with some B.S. that his shoes didn't meet the dress code. He was better dressed than half the already admitted whites!
