I honestly have never eaten the food here, but this is the place to go for a great milkshake. Absolutely delicious. Sort of over-priced, but sometimes you have to splurge.

If you're driving up to Yosemite and want to try a local, hole-in-the-wall, family-owned cafe, you should stop by.

There's table seating inside and benches outside. You order your food at the windows and they'll call your name when it's ready. You seat yourself wherever you want.

    Food:
-Reuben and fries: greasy, cheesy, goodness with thick-cut fries

They're known for their frosty, but I wasn't able to find the room to try it.

    Parking:
-Several spaces in their parking lot

I used to like this place when it was Rose's frosty, but it seems to have gone down hill. The ice cream is ok, but my husband and I had gas for days after eating a burger and fries there. Service is not that great and the dining room is not quaint it's dingy and dirty. I feel like I don't care to eat there anymore....:-(

Stopped here on the way back from Yosemite to get a milkshake.  I got a chocolate malt and my girlfriend got a strawberry milkshake, and they definitely make some delicious stuff!  I havent had a frost that delicious in a while, I wish I was up this way more often so I could stop in here more often.

This place used to be a lot better.. I think the economy has something to do with it.
I've visited this place countless times and each time gets a little worse.
They seem to cut corners, sacrificing freshness for quantity. Their fries were like crinkle cut Ore Ida fries the last time I ate here. Their mexican food is ok. The burgers are actually pretty good. The made to order ice cream cones used to be the best in town, not anymore though.
I'll make a trip back here when times are better.

Let me just say I stopped in for ice cream. All I wanted was a creamy ice cream cone that would have been craving for another one when I'm in town again. Instead, it was one of those generic icy-ish ice cream cones that I could pick up at any random place. Sadly, I could name a chain restaurant or two that have better cones. I won't be stopping back in!

Now known as Robert's Frosty, we first came here two years ago when it was Rose's Frosty. Both times we had the same meal - cheeseburgers and fries. The first time we had no idea this place was here - we were driving from Fresno to Yosemite and the wife wanted to eat, and there was Frostys.

An amazingly excellent burger and fries - amazing because I had zero expectations and they were so darn good. For two years the wife and I said that the next time in the area we were definitely eating more burgers and fries.

Last week was our next visit and we were a bit worried, since Rose was gone and Robert was in. Also, we had built up the burgers in our minds for two years, so were undoubtedly going to be disappointed. But instead, these burgers and fries were even better.

Bottom line: if you love burgers and fries and find yourself on the road from Yosemite to Fresno, do not fail to stop in Coarsegold and fill up at Robert's Frosty!!

This appears on signs as Rose's Frosty.

It's a short order restaurant that serves burgers of various types along with a variety of other hot sandwiches and milkshakes and such.  I've only tried the burgers and fries and malts; they have always been good.

It's open for lunch and supper.
