Colonial Tavern

Wow...I'm a local and can't say enough about this place...fellow locals will tell you that the old establishment was a dump, Not a dive...the Tavern on Broadway is a great addition to an already up and coming area. It's brand new and looks it, Food was outstanding. I showed up and was very pleased with the 22 beers on tap. Service was great, the bartender relayed the story of the old bar and explained the bars foot rail was made from 200yr old timber salvaged during restoration...beer/drink/food prices are perfect ( half price apps and pizza!!! 4-6) I know I'll be back!

The Tavern on Broadway is so new I have reservations about reviewing it yet.  But here it is:  They have a pretty nice beer selection with about 10 options on tap including a milk stout and Lagunitas IPA, so both me and my husband have something we love as an option.  Service seems a bit hit or miss, but that could be because they're working out the kinks.  

The first time we were in, the bartender was extra lovely.  The second time notsomuch.

We both ordered medium burgers which came out well done, but the flavor of the beef was nice.  Even though the menu said there would be handcut french fries, it came out with chips, and no one thought to mention it before we ordered or after they had been brought out.  We also tried to order the buffalo chicken lollipops for an appetizer, but they said all they had was hot wings.

Hrm.  We'll probably go back in a few weeks to see if things are running a bit smoother.
