I have had some good experiences at this comedy club, but gave it two stars because of the horrible customer service from the OWNER of the club. I tried to speak with him about concerns I had and he was very rude to my husband and I.
The service there is definitely lacking. It is hard to order drinks and food. The wait staff does not seem very attentive. I attempted to address this with the owner, and now I know why the wait staff does not care about customer satisfaction.
I will not longer go here because of how rude the owner is. I do not want to support a business where customers are treated disrespectfully. If you go to this club, expect some laughs depending on the comedian, but no service.
DAVE ATTELL!!!!! Â :)
Caught his show here with a friend of mine. Â I'm not a counnisseur of comedy clubs, but I've been to a few, and this one is more spacious than most. Â Connxtions is built in an old bowling alley, and you can totally tell. Â Not the flashiest or most updated place, but there isn't a bad seat in the house, and when you're seeing a comedy show, being able to see and hear everything is most important. Â Drinks were strong and the prices were not as bad as I expected. The waitresses will probably only hit your table once or twice in a two hour show, but to me this was a good thing - I'd much prefer this to the clubs that have waitresses hover your table to make sure you meet the drink mimimum (which, here, I don't believe there was one). Â
Tickets were pretty cheap ($25) for a 3 act show...a local guy who wasn't so great, a lesser known talent who had us in stitches, and then of course the big name, Dave Attell, who left me with sore cheeks and abs from laughing so hard. Â
I don't live in Lansing, but next time I visit my friend, we'll be keeping an eye on the line up hear. Â Beats a movie any day.
