A buddy and I wound up here after a day trip to the Hall of Fame. We were looking for a casual lunch spot before we left town, and this fit the bill. We both had burgers, and we were both impressed with the food. Prices were fair, but do take note that they don't do free refills on soda.
The ambiance is pretty cool; they've got some autographed pictures on the walls, including one of Goose Gossage (former Yankee pitcher) that was right over my shoulder as we ate. It's not the fanciest place in the world, but we got what we wanted.
It was Game 2 of the Tigers/Giants 2012 World Series and I'm in Cooperstown.  It's a town where baseball was created so there must be a ton of late night options to watch the big series and get some food?  Wrong.  Many of the potential sports bar options along Main St closed well before even the middle of the game so luckily I stumbled into Cooley's.  They claimed to be open well past midnight so I was in luck.  The bbq and mild buffalo wings along with sweet potato fries did the trick for my meal but I was much more focused on a San Francisco win.  The sticky bar countertops didn't bother  me too much because I didn't have a lot of expectations when I went in.
