Two word: CURRY FRIES. Cue glorious choral music and fireworks.
It's perfectly cooked fries smothered with fragrant curry sauce. Mmmm mmm mmm.
The rest of the food, while good, is pretty unmemorable. They try to be inventive and sometime it works (see: freak out about curry fries above) and sometimes I wish they had kept things traditional because the inventiveness doesn't add much to the dish.
They also always have an awesome beer selection. It's certainly worth checking out. Great service, interesting food and good beer. This place is very quintessentially Bellingham.
Love the vibe. Awesome food, great drink selection. I really enjoy this place, but it's pretty pricey. Especially for college kids.
They tend to be kind of busy, more so when the weather is warmer. So service is usually pretty slow. But their staff is pretty kind.
I appreciate how they switch their menu a lot too, depending on the seasons. I go maybe about two or three times a year and get something different each time. It's a good place for a classier dinner date or to take your parents.
The mac and cheese was good, although I probably should have added the bacon just for that salty chewy kick. Â The fried brussels sprouts were nice, with lots of separated leafy pieces to add extra crunch to each mouthful. Â I've had them prepared with a vinaigrette before as opposed to some balsamic reduction along side as Copper Hog serves them, and I like them tossed with the vinaigrette better. Â Still crunchy but lots of flavor all around.
