Really great craft beers.  Like a ton of them...almost as many as WOB.  They have pool and other table games and lots of TVs.

Aside from beer and fun...I go for the wings.  Because they are plump, moist, and coated in delicious sauce.  They are about $1 each, and worth it.  If you're over BWWs wings try Copper Top out.

The beers aren't cheap, but the food prices make up for it and even it out.

Horrible service with a bad attitude, but the wings are out of this world. I like to mix and match the sauces to my enjoyment. Definitely ask for them well done for the best pleasure. Super cheap PBR and great wings - you stole my heart CTP.

Why 5 stars?  I'll tell you.

Despite the vast array of quality beers on tap--way more than Bud/Bud Light, thank you--this is not a fancy place...which is fine.  But when you can marry up a wide variety of good beers with what may be the best wings I've ever had?  That's a feat.

Great job, Copper Top.  I'll be back.

5 stars? Because I have to.

This is the staple bar of University of South Florida, a University that I was in for 7 years (not because I was lazy alright)!

It has definitely had a facelift since I started going there. We used to be able to smoke inside, they used to have your necessary 4 taps of Bud, Bud light, Miller, Coors (all the same thing) and your finest (sarcasm) 2 liter bottle of red and white wine.

New copper top there is no smoking inside, tons of craft beers, amazing smoked wings. They often have live music.  They run all you can drink nights and all you can eat wings nights.  Lots of pool tables, two dart boards, jukebox. Couple tables line the outside, and there is seating inside but it is hard to find on busy nights.

Although it is a USF bar, there is a mixed crowd. This bar has regulars that were around before I was born. Don't bring your kids.

I went to school in Tampa in the eighties and spent many, many nights at the Copper Top Pub. Beer was always cheap, and for a broke college student, this was like a second home. While visiting Tampa I drove past Copper Top and just had to go in again. Much to my surprise the beer was still cheap, and the bartender was the the same one that had served, and refused to serve me years before. Who says you can't go home again?

Any time there's something better than Yuengling (which i love, btw) or Sam Adams or Blue Moon (both of which i hate, btw) on tap in these parts it's good.

I like this place. It's no frills, no bullshit, and no hard A. Back in Washington, we call this a "tavern". It's where the working-class (like me) drink.  The food is cheap, tasty, and hearty, and they keep the tap lines meticulously clean, a lost art. They have darts. They have nice pool tables.

It ain't the Ritz. It's a good, cheap pint. They serve a real 16 ounce pint, hard to find in Florida.  The clientele is pretty chill. If you're nearby, swing by. This is a nice surprise, and not far from the best little coffee shop in South Florida, Felicitous...you can go chill there to sober off that second pint.

Good USF area bar. Sort of a dive but it's cheap- so who cares? Lot of beers on tap and some pool tables. The drink specials are excellent. Fun college-aged crowd.

This is my favorite college bar near USF. It's a hop, skip, and a jump away from my house and the beer never tasted better. Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday are "all you care to drink" nights for $8. On Tuesdays it's only $6 for ladies. You get a choice of two beers and it's a great deal. They also have other craft beers and ciders. There isn't any liquor here but the beer flow is just fine. There are darts, pool tables, and other fun games to play. Also, they don't mind if you play some drinking games which is awesome because it seems as though most bars don't want you too. I'm all about cheap drinks and fun!

If you want a no bullshit place to grab a drink, this is it. Just watch out for the "all you can drink" nights as it can get rather busy.

Cool pub very laidback when I went, great selection of beers on tap. I had the Oktoberfest! The wings are awesome also voted number one in Tampa by some local food bloggers. I had the Garlic Parmesan chicken wings which were smoked very nicely, juicy. The celery & carrot sticks looked kind of lame though. Go for the Chicken Wings for sure!

This is your local, no thrills, down and dirty pub. They have a really great selection of beer (and super cheap happy hour prices til 7) but don't expect someone to come to your table and get your order! There are a couple of flat screens, darts and pool tables but I prefer to sit and drink my cold beer watching all the locals! Since this is walking distance to USF, you would think it would be crawling with students but it is just the opposite!

My hole away from home.  Though I'm not there very often, they remember my choice of beverage, and are already opening a beer as I walk through the door. It's as if  they instinctively know how much I hate visiting with my parents.  This place is like Cheers, though a little seedier. The fireplace isn't real, but there are four pool tables, several dart boards, and usually a free table for 6.  The Copper Top, or Topper Cop, as it's sometimes known, keeps it simple. Cheep beer on tap, good company, and a juke box blaring such artists as Kid Rock, Outkast, and Marilyn Manson.  If I'm in Tampa and it's after 9 on a weeknight, there's a good chance you'll find me here.
