Outrageously horrible! The food took egregiously long to get here! The reason we tried it out was because our favorite restaurant in Kirkwood had a 45 minute wait. The food took about an hour to get here! The kitchen is hilariously uncoordinated because my meal was served, and my brothers was served 20 minutes later! Bad food in general. It was the night of the all star game and we were planning to watch it there, it being a sports pub and all. Then even though half of the restaurant was open, they seated us right next to the one TV that was showing CNN, and then explained why they couldn't change the channel with some mumbo jumbo about this TV being satellite and the other ones being cable. Terrifying experience! I will never again go there in my life and I advise you not to either!

Very disappointed.  Definitely not the place it used to be.  Expensive and the food is sub-par.

Fish tacos and garlic cheese pizza, sounded so good, tasted so bad.

Wow, food is terrible - kind of reminds me of cafeteria food. The only up side is that the food is cheaper and more varied than the food in the main Kirkwood Village area by ticketing.

adios bub's!...kirkwood mountain resort...comfortable atmosphere, less crowded, beer on tap and tables plenty...mid-day rest and eat...avoiding the upper lodge mass...sweeping out the cluttered past....spacious interiors...simpler, plainer, wooden setting....melt sandwiches good and perfect skinny fries even better...favorite black butte stout on tap...decent pizza and burgers...plated sit-down meal and waitress/waiter served...beers delivered and food hot...roughly $twenty meal per person...hola cornice grill!

Horrible service.  Went with a party of 8 and they made us wait 15 minutes even though there were open tables all over the place.  Skipped taking the order of one person from our party.   Long turnaround time for drinks.  Brought out our food (pizza), but no plates and silverware - someone from our group had to grab them from a wait station..

The Kicker:  At the end of the night we split the tab between two cards and a pile of cash.  The waitress pocketed the cash as a tip (on top of the mandatory 18% already included), and put the rest of the balance on one of the cards.  We caught it and she "fixed" it, but the balance is still showing up on my friend's card, which is a huge headache for her.

Now that Vail has taken over the food service it's mediocre and overpriced.  Nachos (which were cold when they came) went from $9 to $14.  All decoration is gone and there's no atmosphere.

We'll be eating at the cabin from here on out.

...Oh well, I thought I was going to get the "first to review" -- I created this entry yesterday, when I tried to check-in and it didn't exist.

Pros: They are undiscovered both on Yelp and in real life; when the mountain is mobbed, they still will have seats.  And, umm, that's about it.  Unfortunately, given how sparse the pickings are at Kirkwood, that's good for three stars.

Cons: SLOW service, SLOW food delivery, and overpriced beer.  The tip for a group is INCLUDED, but then hidden in a sneaky fashion so that it'd be very easy to tip a second time on top of the 18%; it reads "Service charge: $XX" which is 18%, and then "Tip: $0" on the bill.  Underhanded.

The food was all, well, acceptable for generic resort food; a greasy pizza; an overcooked burger; acceptable fries; bland clam chowder; and so on.  Prices are about what you'd expect for the location, or overpriced for a city.

They do sell good microbeers on tap.
