Cotton Pickin' Inn

Was in town for a week in first part of September. Never saw it open.  To not be a tip I have to add more to my review that the place was never open. .

good food!!!

My family and I enjoyed opening day. It was a little busy but that's to be expected. There's a little excitement around the opening of this place. The new owners obviously invested some money into modernizing it. Everything is so bright, new and clean. There was a "classic motorcycle meets rich bluegrass" vibe from the decorating. They had some interesting old photos and signs on the walls. You can eat inside or out (weather permitting). Food is what I would call "New Southern". But there is some diversity to fit a variety of preferences. The dinner menu included anything from salad to fried pickles, meatball subs and pasties to the unusual but tasty (this was my choice tonight) pepper and egg sandwich, a delicious combination of scrambled eggs, fresh, perfectly sauteed peppers on a semi-crunchy french bread sandwich with olive oil. It was excellent. Desserts available included pecan pie, cupcakes and muffins, though I opted for some candy from their retro  candy jars. They appear to be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

For opening night there was a great bluegrass band. From the stage and sign above it, I imagine they plan on having live music sometimes.

We didn't stay at the B&B but got a tour. Very nice! All four rooms we saw (they have five total) had brand new everything. Ceiling fans, sinks, bath tubs and large LCD HDTVs. One room even had a small kitchen and a balcony.

There aren't a lot of choices for lodging and dining in Tellico. This one is nice enough to be proud of.
