Town Square Cafe & Bakery

I saw the reviews for this bakery online before I went on a trip to Tellico Plains with my family, and wanted to check it out. The woman serving us was very nice and helpful, and the place was charming and clean. We got coffee, quiche, a blueberry danish, and a peach scone for breakfast. We loved it, and wanted to sample everything after! We took a cherry turnover, oatmeal cookie, and coconut cookie to go. They were fantastic! We're definitely going back for more!! Highly recamended!

This place has never made me just stop and say,"WoW!"

I try to patronize them once a year just so I can give visitors an honest opinion.
They just need something...
Seasoning?
Cleaning?
Maybe a smile would help once in a while?

I am just not their largest fan.

This place is a diamond in the rough. The guy who makes the food is not a cook but a chef. I have been all over the US and tasted all kinds of food and can tell you he makes the best western omelets I have ever had...consistently. You can get breakfast all day. It may not look like much from the inside or the outside but the food is excellent. Free wifi is nice, too. I don't know what brought this chef to a tiny little town in east Tennessee but I hope he stays.

The location on the map is WAY off. Town Square Cafe & Bakery is downtown in Tellico Plains, next to the hardware store.
