Country Folks

Country Folk Restaurant (CFR) is just that: for the local Illinois Valley folk.  It is too plain looking and has too hooky a sign  to attract tourists. It is open for breakfast and lunch only. The food is good. On our first visit the place was packed because the local fire district was holding a fund-raiser.
In mid-March, the weather warmed up and the long dry spell continued so I took the yellow bike for a spin to Selma for a chili size at CFR. They served an above average meal with mild chili and excellent french fries.  Note the for sale sign in the photo; too bad, CFR may not be open or may have new owners soon.
This is the only restaurant in Selma, but it is not far to Cave Junction where there are several cafes and the famous Taylor's Sausage store/cafe.
