Downright ok. Good fish tacos but way overpriced. Nice patio though.

On the beautiful Rogue River, for those who love Pacific Cuisine at it's best...River's Edge will not disappoint you.  As soon as you enter the foyer, the decor and art immediately reminds one of  "A River Runs Through it."

I ordered the Asparagus Tenderloin, a marinated grilled filet with Parmesan asparagus, poached egg & citrus butter sauce.

The fillet was delicious and the asparagus was perfect. The sauce was promisingly complex and savory.

The menu is inventive and enticing. Just enough selection so there is a great variety and your incisiveness does not raise it's confusing head. However, deciding between their homemade Bread Pudding with raspberry liqueur soaked craisins and white chocolate and a whisky butter sauce or the Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee wasn't easy either. The Creme Brulee won, and is fantastic!

The service was great and my server very pleasant and knowledgeable.

Four Stars! And you know..."On The Road Again" has never given five. But stay tuned...New York is a destination this summer.   - See more at: <a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.deltanewsandreview.com%2F2013%2F02%2Fon-road-again-1936-rogue-river-highway.html%23sthash.pwwB0l5d.dpuf&s=5f8c40cda3e777f063fdcf34c20626f903b648c95d1cb70ea64cdc34af9004c5" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.deltanewsandr…</a>

Having such a coveted location and stadium seating for the view, River's Edge doesn't really need to dedicate any focus on their food, but they do seem to take pride in their offerings and seem to truly care that you have a good experience. The menu has a decent variety, and an interactive direct-your-ingredients bruschetta that's unique, for sure. The service is nice, and it seems like a place suited for the Grants Passionates to take their friends, parents and loved ones for a nice-esque dinner encounter.

In the end, I kinda felt I'd spent a little too much for not being especially sated, which is sort of how I've felt about most restaurants in Southern Oregon lately. But anyhow. If you're in the area, it's an alright option, with a pretty view, so long as it's still light outside.

Coming from Portland, I'm now realizing that it's pretty much impossible for me to objectively comment on restaurants anywhere else. I have a spidey sense for Sysco and certain eras in restaurant/airport/hotel decor. But taking context into consideration... s'alright.
