Beacon Bar and Grill

This is the best place in Grants Pass. I can't imagine getting a bad meal here. The chef is so consientous and competent. She is also the owner. Her husband does the service most nights. He is very congenial if you bother to talk with him. It can be very busy as Grants Pass has discovered that what is lacking in decor is served up fast and hot on your plate!

Yes,  Aja is now The Beacon Bar and Grill, and is in transition to using its new name (and location).

So many dishes have a little oriental twist. EVERYTHING IS FANTASTIC each time we eat here.

We Love this restaurant!  Travel to CA 5-6 times a year and usually overnight in Grant's Pass.  And we always eat at the Beacon (formerly Aja in another location).  The food is amazing, definitely the best in Grant's Pass and we've tried a lot, before we found the Beacon. The scallops are world-class, the chicken is beautifully sauced and juicy, vegetables are tender and crisp at the same time, desserts to die for.  All this in a vintage rehabbed drive-in restaurant that is eclectic to say the least...part Hawaii, part surfer dude, part sports bar, all fun.  Not conventional, not perfect, but very, very good.  If you like beautifully cooked food and reasonable prices, try this restaurant.

Fantastic fresh food and very excellent service. I will be coming back here the next time I am in Grants Pass.
