  Okay, I'll be honest, I'm not a buffet person so when the breakfast buffet on Sunday was suggested I can't say I was super excited.  I mean, the eggs are always from that liquid pouch, you don't know how long everything has been sitting out (or who sneezed before touching that spoon you're about to pick up).  
  
  There was plenty of food - casseroles, breakfast meat, eggs, fruit salad, but nothing I can say was amazing.  If you're in Powhatan, it's probably your only local option, but if you can convince someone to make you breakfast at home, I'd suggest it.

  i have been here numerous times since it is one of the few breakfast places in powhatan. friends have hyped up the county seat but i would have to disagree. not bad but not the greatest. standard southern breakfast menu, nothing was spectacular. it is very country and comfortable. i enjoy listening to the elderly complaining about the little things, ie temperature, table hasn't been wiped down, etc. the service is sub par but it is always busy. my grandparents would love this place;)

  We love this place.  We used to live in Powhatan and did not appreciate it enough!  Now we live far away  and miss it terribly.  When we visit, this is always a stop we make - the perfect meeting place with friends
  The fried chicken is a must have. My husband got the tuna salad once on a visit back, and RAVES about it.  The pie is great.  They night they had a dinner buffet, was amazing.  My best friend says breakfast buffet and the biscuits are to die for.  Not for dieters, but who would want to in an establishment that makes GOOD home cooked food?!
