Have been a frequent customer of Crab Trap for over 30 years. Â Most recent visit was one of the best in January 2013. Â Food was excellent and service was good. Â This was a customer appreciation night and the special menu did not lack any of the quality that is given to the regular menu. Â Will continue to frequent the Crab Trap since it has the most consistant quality food and service in the area.
Review Source:I gave this restaurant 2 stars simply because it is a favorite of mine for many, many years.  While I always was a fan, today was terrible.  It's a tradition over the 4th weekend to play a round of golf early and head there for lunch.  We only stayed 2 hours when we normally stay 4-5.  The reason was the biggest jerk I've ever seen behind a bar, Denny(or Dennis). What a miserable man.  I asked him what his name was and he told me that he doesn't like to give it out  because then people keep asking him to get them something.  Later, I asked him a simple question about what he would recommend and his answer was "I don't know what you like or what food tastes like to you.". What a jerk.  Then later he came to place our order and looked at another person I in our party and said "shhhhh, I'm trying to hear people's orders.". Then on top of it I ordered fried oysters and chicken salad and b/c Denny doesn't move to get food i had to deal with hot ck salad sitting under the lights.  A place I grew up loving seems to be losing control.  There was another bartender Shannon workiing and she was really nice as was Leah who is excellent.
Review Source:Typical tourist restaurant,  long wait for dinner.  Food was okay, the muffins were fresh  and welcome as we were starving.  Wife had the crab imperial which was very good, my fish was overcooked and dry.  Drinks were good, and the wait staff pleasant.  Would try it a second time.
