Cranberry Tree

Comfort food.  Period.  It's good.  However, the place is a little dated, the prices are just a hair above their real value, and the service is pleasant enough but could be better.  If just for the food, I'd go 4 stars.  Because of the ancillary observations, I dropped it to 3 stars.

Seriously, at exit 227 for Mt. Vernon, there isn't much to choose from, except for a lot of fast food chain stuff.  On the other hand, this restaurant is an original.  It's on the frontage road to the west but, since you can see it from I-5, locating it should not be that difficult.
