I love what Cronies offers.  Too many bars get it wrong.  It is simple.  Cold Beer (check), Good food (check), Ridiculous amount of tv's(check).  That's it.  Nothing fancy just does the simple things.

Casual place to grab lunch. When there is a game on, it is PACKED. I like the salads.  A little pricey, but what isn't these days. I would give it five stars but every time I have come here for lunch, the service is slow. Real slow. And I go when it is not busy. I will return. Good, fun, casual place. I can bring the kids and they can be loud when its busy.

Went here because I was in the area. Ordered a Cobb salad and two Pacifico beers.
Cobb salad was nice and filling only their Italian dressing was like water.
Beer is inexpensive and around 20 oz.
Service is what gave this place 3 stars. Really poor even though businesses was slow.
Go for a game and beer, don't expect great food service

It has been a year since I have been here so it is possible that the service is better.

I'm not a sports fan.    I'm not really a fan of loud restaurants either.  That is not why I like Cronies.

I am a fan of cold---and I mean ICE cold---beer and damn good wings.  Probably the only dang wings in town that aren't flavored with Franks Red Hot ( I like Franks, but I  think people should express themselves through wings!! )  I love me some wings, and THIS is why I like Cronies...plus, its like Cheers---you walk in, and you always know someone.

The food is regular sports bar fare.  Nothing to get all up in culinary arms about, but its good, fresh food.  The BLTs have a good bit of bacon, the burgers are good, fries are hot... and well, boys, the waitresses are pretty hot too.  So, what more do you need?

They are always down to do a fundraiser for a school, a family... whatever.  They're just good people there. Good local business. THAT is why I like Cronies.

Ice cold beer in schooners, cute waitresses, decent food, lots of TVs and plenty of parking. Can't go wrong here. We usually hit this place up after softball tournaments in the area. Last time in they automatically opened individual tabs for everyone in our party. It made for an easy and organized check out experience. I never ask for separate checks at restaurants because servers typically find it annoying, but after seeing how they do it here, I wonder why that is.

I come here regularly for the best beer in town, Buffalo wings like they're supposed to be, great salads and all of the best sports. The employees, from Dave to Natalie to Nicole et al are personable and make you feel at home, like you were with some old cronies. (Hey, you can use that if you want, Dave!) no atmosphere, but did I say they have the best and coldest beer anywhere?

Cronies is good for watching the game, plenty of TV's and the beer is ice cold. They have Wing Wednesday as well!

Great bar n grill until you want to watch soccer. This is a football bar even if 95 percent of the clientele watching the LA Galaxy championship game wanted to actually hear the play by play of the soccer game.  Instead of working to please his customers, stout manager was more interested in listening to HIS football game of interest while working.  Despite several pleas from his roomfull of food buying soccer fans, he would not relent. HIS college football game was more important than his customers on this given LA Galaxy championship day. Hope he had money on it because there is a large multiple family group of youth soccer families who formerly liked to go here, and are considering not returning again since we were not appreciated. This group and other clearly interested parties made up 80 percent of his in house customers this day.  Bad call.

Food is ok, not great. Pretty good selection of beers and enough TV's during a big game day to see more than one from where ever you are seated. If the food were a little better I would have given it a better review. Maybe this is more about my expectations, but still....

First time we went, I loved this place. Big beers, cute waitresses, pretty good food, lots of TV's etc. Last few times though, the service has been declining and the different menu items I've been trying I have not been impressed. Wouldn't recommend their breakfast as everything my family got wasn't very good. For a beer, burger and to watch the game...it's pretty good.

Good sports bar for what it is. Someone earlier described it as Denny's with beer, mention the load of TV's and it's pretty accurate. I happened to go in as Team USA was playing against Argentina (basketball) and had a great view of the game. The place was almost completely empty, but it was afternoon so not a busy time.

The waitress was very friendly and attentive, impressive as I think she was the only one there (aside from the cooks). The HUGE beer mug was too tempting not to try, especially as it was 100 degrees outside and they serve the mug frozen, plus it was happy hour.

Casual and laid back, full of TVs and frozen beer mugs. Good choice.

i love this place because it is what it is - no frills, lots of tvs, "to-go" cups even for dining in, paper-lined red plastic baskets to eat from, community style tables (there are regular tables too), 20 oz schooners of frosty beer, all-american menu, friendly and attentive waitstaff, and curly fries.

the ambiance is decidedly simi valley, and i say that with all the love in the world.  there are other places where i could watch a game that are much poorer representations of my hometown (the arena, fridays, jrb's to name a few!)  i can't skip this place when i come into simi because it makes me happy to see cronies thriving in a town that turns over restaurants left and right.

the only thing missing is patio seating, which the building's location does not allow for.

great place for families, beer-drinkers, or anyone looking for a place to watch sports.  check any snobbery at the door and have a good time with good folks!

Yes! I wish I was there now. Cronies is amazing.

My softball team loves this place too and we go there almost every single wednesday after our game. I go there for Guinness served in a frosty schooner, maybe 2  :)    And every time I have their food it's always really good. For example, the mini corn dogs.. yum! The beer girls and the whole staff are so great and always helpful. They have tons of TVs with every live game playing so the place is always lively and exciting.

I recommend Cronies to groups, team, or even for a date night!

Great place to watch the game with your buddies and enjoy the coldest beers in town, served in an ice cold schooner. Food is pretty good but they definitely need meatier wings. Their "Thirsty Sauce" is REALLY good! Closes early though, even on the weekends... Like most places in Simi Valley :(

I don't always drink beer, but when I do, I prefer frosted scooners from Cronies!

Cronies is the unofficial sports bar of "Stupid Loose", my softball team's choice to go after our games on Wednesday and Friday nights. We attempted to add variety to our after-game outings with other establishments but none of them measure up to Cronies.

TV's aplenty! No matter where you sit you'll have a direct line to a televised sporting event. Great place to get loud and rowdy, terrible place to bring a date especially if you want to have a conversation with any sustenance. Another reason you might not want to bring your lady friend here is because the waitress are pretty good looking and you wouldn't want to get caught staring. If you're in the "friend zone" then by all means bring whomever you want.

Burgers are good and there is a great selection of different fries you can order. The sweet potato fries with there spicy sauce is usually my pick otherwise the wedges are also very good. The garlic curly fries can be good but at times can be very greasy. The club is a solid choice as is the philly cheese steak. I once ordered the Big Daddy Burger and "Oh Daddy" was it a beast! 2 patties, bacon, swiss and american cheese, pastrami, and all the fix-ins and I was out for the count. Tasty yes, but be prepared for the repercussions.

"Running in place will never get you the same results as running from a lion"
Stay thirsty (and hungry) my friends when you come to Cronies

I came here for the 20 oz. mimosa and it didn't disappoint. I liked my fish tacos, too, but I'm docking one star for the ambiance... not so much my kinda hang out. everything else was good though!

Okay people, this is definitely going to be one of the rarest yelp reviews in existence.

I've never been here because I've never been 21 and I've just never had a reason to go. This place was described to me as "it's basically Denny's with alcohol". Down for that.
We just had a softball game (lost by one!) So we're still in our "jersey's" which are just T-shirts with our name silk screened on. It's a casual place so we didn't stick out. It's pretty loud in here, with 6 of us there, me being on the end, I missed most of the conversation. But I also wasn't really trying that hard to join in.. I was lazy.

The beers are HUGE and in nice cold frosty glasses.

Our waitress was Nichole P. She was great, I'd love to be a regular at this place with her as our waitress. We ordered fried cheese sticks, fried zucchini, and 3 beers (mind you they are LARGE) and it only came out to $30! The food was yummy too! She also started out the night by asking our names and finding out how many separate bills there would be, which is fantastic and something every waitress should do with parties bigger than 4.

    Now, here's the best part.

    Are you ready?

    I'm not sure you are...

    But here it goes :

My friend gets up to go to the bathroom and returns IMMEDIATELY. I wouldn't have questioned the speed since I wasn't really paying attention but the look on her face... oh man.

    Something was not right.

She is like in shock/bursting out laughing.. " I can't believe that just happened!" We are all on the edge of our seats; what what what?? Was there someone dropping a deuce in there? " no, I really have to pee but I can't go back in there! " Were people having sex? "Umm no. Okay so I walk into the bathroom and open a stall I thought was empty and there's a chick in there ... masterbating!!!" We all were like what? No way, maybe she was putting a tampon in? She says " that is a whole lot of beating to put in a tampon".

A few minutes later the girl walks out all nonchalant and sits back down with her friends. Like nothing happened.

    !!! Who does that!!!

Apparently this place might turn some people on. I don't know.

Definitely entertaining and overall I had a good time and will be back again.

This place is definitely nothing special and everything we ordered we have had better somewhere else.  We ordered the Bud-which, hot wings, and chili cheese fries.  None were any good and we couldn't even bring ourselves to finish any of what we ordered.  The Bud-which was loaded with ingredients, but it wasn't enough to redeem it.  The hot wings were alright.  They seemed fried, without much seasoning and looks like they were hoping that the sauce would provide ALL the flavor.  It just wasn't good enough.  The chili cheese fries were "blah".  The fries by themselves weren't that good, but the chili itself was decent.  Everything just seemed half-assed.

We stopped here to meet up with a friend for drinks and dinner.

Atmosphere:  None.  It's got linoleum floors with hard chairs and tables.  It's really loud and hard to hear people from the same table and that wasn't even during a game.  Because there is no carpeting or linens, the sound just echoes.

Food:  I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and it was literally a piece of chicken breast on a bun.  No flavor.  Blech.  My other half had some chicken wings and we weren't impressed at all.

Service:  Maybe we were there on a bad night but it just wasn't memorable at all.  I doubt we'll be back barring some kind of special event.

Cronies for lunch. I know I probably should have tried something fried or grilled, but since dinner will be fried, grilled and smothered in various sauces, I went with a chicken salad. it was huge. A giant bowl filled with assorted colors of varying healthiness, topped with a ton of hot chicken bits sprinkled on top. I went with balsamic vinaigrette for dressing. The one downside their iced tea was a bit off-tasting, and I asked for a water instead. The server was nice and pleasant, quickly returning with an iced cold water. Good times, and tasty. They've also got wi-fi free for the taking. So that's helpful.

Great Service and they have WiFi.

A Sports Bar with WiFi access?  thats new.  The decor is nothing special, but there are plenty of tv's to watch.  The service was attentive and friendly.  The food came out quickly.  I had the Chicken and Veggie Teriyaki bowl, surprisingly good.  I wish I was more into watching sports, seems like a good location to watch and enjoy.

Down in Simi Valley visiting my baby and he brings me here for a morning brew and something to eat....well, it was noon somewhere, right?!?  I say just continue drinking from the night before and you never feel crappy!  A little grease and more beer it is for me!

Well, let's just say I am a HUGE beer fan and this place serves it right!  In a heavy duty frozen glass that makes your beer ice up.....perfect! Ordered my stella and it went down way too smooth...not complaining by any means....

I also ordered the Taco Salad and it was perfect for my non-hangover! It had all the fixins along with ground beef, pepperocinis, sour cream and guac...

It was a little quiet at that time of day, but I can only imagine it gettin pretty crowded and rowdy when a games on and it's not 11am.

When I come down for another visit, I'm sure we'll be back!

Sports! Team huddles. Chamionship hang-out! Super casual. Too many T.V.'s? Not a complaint, just saying it's hard to keep up with hockey, baseball, football, basketball and extreme sports all at the same time as I'm enjoying my meal.

Their selection is delightful! Blacked Chicken anything and/or their Protein salad which is huge, so you don't feel like a bird.

And last but not least, Ice Cold Schooners! Iced glasses to the perfect -1 degree celsius  just so you can have a 40oz. of freedom.

As a lady I don't leave this place without a mimosa - Champaign on ice?! Choice of Cranberry or Orange Mimosa! Super Sweet!
Taco Tuesday Happy Hour = Yum!

    I love Cronies for sports.
The service superb, the food just OK, not a destination eating place.

Kinda of a German Beer hall atmosphere that clears out as soon as the event on TV is over.

All the games all the time.
    Beer and wine only.

Taco Tuesday Happy Hour. Great priced tacos with the best salsa. No salsa..no taco. A frozen 20oz goblet of Blue Moon and two tacos hit the spot. Lots of flatscreens and cute waitresses. Try the budwich, stir fry, or hot wings. The fries here suck. Avoid this place on game days if you're not into it.

Great place with a family atmosphere and TVs all around.  This place seemed to attract a diverse crowd from guys going out to watch sports and eat on the weekend to families and kids sports teams.  The frozen beer glasses are pretty awesome.  (Not sure why other bars don't do this.)  The food is really good.  I had a sandwich that was good.  It's a bit out of the way for me but I can't wait to go back.

On a positive note: the beer comes in big, frozen glasses...very nice!

The food was pretty good.  We just had a few apps, so they were nothing to write home about.

On a not-so-positive note: the chairs are rather uncomfortable, and the tables are situated in long rows, almost like a cafeteria.  They cram so many people in there, it's hard to hold a conversation without including the people on either side of you.

    Review Source:

Sort of a cafeteria-style sports bar with tables and chairs right out of a high school commissary.  The beer is ice cold and served in Schooners that'll give you carpal-tunnel-wrist the next morning (wish they offered a basic pint glass dammit).  The food is typical greasy bar fare but their garden burger with curly fries was surprisingly good.

If you're a girl, you're bound to get bad service since the waitresses cater to MEN.  They bounce and flirt and get obscenely high tips.  This explained the 95% to 5% male/female ratio in this place.  So if you're secure in your relationship and really, really, really feel the need to visit a sports bar in Simi Valley, this is the place for you.

'Yay! I'm a fan'...definitely defines my first experience at Cronies!

It's very much a Sports Grill people, team paraphernalia, neon beer signs, and paper Budweiser streamers hang from every open wall space. They've got an arcade in the back corner, a gazillion tv screens, as well large windows. It's definitely wide open.

We settled in the center of the room, making sure we both had comfy views of the Dodgers game, which wasn't hard, did I mention they have a gazillion TVs? I went ahead and got the 20oz frozen schooner filled with Sierra Nevada to start. This thing is huge! I felt like I was drinking in the middle ages, the glass is shaped like a goblet.

The menu is actually quite extensive, they had salads, hot dogs, appetizers, and breakfast, but mostly sandwiches. I got the Philly Cheese Steak, which comes with mushrooms, onions and cheese. I found I could actually taste onion, mushroom and steak separately, but they went together so well. However next time I come I'm going to ask for extra cheese.

Pretty standard service, nothing too fussy which is what I like in a bar. Leave me alone with my grease and beer, and ask me if I want another round...that's all I need. I get the feeling that the food and the service would be pretty consistent every time also, which is a great characteristic.

Definitely a locals spot, you'll be dining with Simi Valley's finest!!!! Take that as you will, I keep insulting folks every time i comment on the demographics at establishments in Simi. I will say that I like smaller town vibes, Simi isn't downtown Santa Monica and the change of pace is great. So if you ever find yourself in Simi stop by Cronies for some decent bar food!

Wow, My girlfriend and I came here today because of yelp. I love that you can bring different groups of people, Grandma, Grandpa and even kids to this sports grill without any worries. If your a single dad they even have a mini arcade games, with a clear view of the whole floor. Without a question our waiter gave us a humanistic experience and never left us without making eye contact and asking what we needed.

The real icing on the cake was the dark beer on tap and having the waiter know how to answer the question of whats the darkest you got....Wow, how funny so few waiters know....Although they don't have micro brews such as Stone, they do have Guinness and know how to pour thick body beers in their ice cold schooners... Which Cronies will bring out frosted glass without ice floating around in your beer,  a real plus in my mind...The burger by girlfriend ordered was thick enough to  need two hands to eat and was very econ friendly.  There was a TV every single perceptive you could think of.  If you go to a sports bar for sports...lol, its gotta made. We where honestly on our way to see the New transformers 2 movie and decided it was too much fun and stayed the evening.  I wanna extend my thank u to the professionalism shown to my girlfriend and I  from the staff and crew this brings the light back what is so great about Simi Valley.

Cronies is a lot of fun!  The food is consistently good - love the teriyaki bowls, the hot wings, and the patty melt with curly fries - the drinks are always served "large  size", and the people who serve are always nice and pleasant.

One complaint - once your food is served you will not see a server again - they are gone with the wind - something that is really frustrating if you want something else.  Other than that , Cronies is a good time for all.

Being an ex employee of Cronies Simi Valley I have seen the ins and outs of this place.. But looking at it from a customers point of view-if Dave ( the manager ) has a good wait crew for the night then you will have a kick ass time.  He is very personable, out talking to the customers, making sure everyone is taken care of.

The food is very consistant.  The cooks are great guys and won't send anything out that isn't cooked exactly the way it is suppose to be.  They have awesome salads, my favorite is the Protein Salad.  Their specialties on the menu are sandwiches, and they have quite a few.  The Philly another favorite of mine or the Patty Melt.  Curly fries on the side and you are good to go!

And of course we can't forget their famous 20 oz schooners served in ice cold schooners.  And believe me these things are freak'n cold I had to serve them!!!

All in all it's a good time, can become very packed with either softball teams coming in after a game, or large parties.  Don't expect to carry on too much of a conversation because it is NOISEY in there!

Also, Dave has a band called 'Sir Real/Dr. M' and they perform the first Friday of each month at Cronies.  They are pretty good as they have some original songs but they are great at cover songs..

    GOOD TIMES, GOOD TIMES

I love this place!  I have only been a few time but whenever I good the energy is great and people are always laughing.  The owner is really friendly and takes an active interest in helping his customers enjoy there time there. How they celebrate birthdays is but doing the birthday chug.  If you are 21or older and they know your birthday is coming up you will be chugging a giant beer in the amount of time it takes to sing HAPPY BIRTHDAY!  They get everyone in the Bar to contribute to the song. Always funny to see how people react to this.  The food there is pretty good.  Keep in mind it is a sports bar so it is not some culinary masterpiece  but still the experience and the people are what keep ya coming back!  It is a sports bar so remember the game is always on!  It is a fun place to go with friends!
