Cugino's Italian Grill & Bar

Cugino's has some pretty good food.  The best part about Cugino's is the staff.  This place is in my neck of the woods, so everytime we come in, they call us by name and they know our drink order immediately.  My kid is a picky eater and they always know exactly what she wants and they make it her way.  They just started serving a ton of draught imported beers which people seem to love. Do not expect "fine dining" when you come here.  However, they have a menu that is diverse and not filled with typical St. Louis bar food.  It's a super casual and laid back atmosphere.

I think this place has a nice environment with very typical mid grade food.  I was going to dinner with some friends who prefer safe places and I knew it would be.  

If you're dining with people who like something more mainstream this is a good pick.  For me, it was just nothing special.  

All the dishes were typical and just fine but nothing that blew me away.

Met a buddy here the other day after work after hearing him rave about it over and over.  We went last night, which was a Wednesday, so they had some happy hour specials.  I believe it was 1lb of honey hot wings, or a large 1 topping pizza for five bucks.  I personally do not like sweet wings, so I asked if I could get regular hot wings instead.  This was not a problem, and my food was out promptly.  The quality of the chicken was good, big meaty pieces that I couldn't complain about.  The taste however, was non existent.  I asked for more hot sauce, which I was charged for, and it was made evident that the sauce was flavorless, and it didn't seem that the wings were seasoned at all.  The waitress were all attractive, and the beer was cold.  So I guess being as I got the special, and they have a very large menu to choose from that I can't form my opinion on this one visit.  When I do go back however, I will not be ordering wings.
