Courteous waitstaff terrible cook.  We had a table of 5, two of us split the schnitzel the other 3 ordered the fresh fish of the day, a 5 oz trout fillet grilled.  The fish was cooked to a fare the well.  Only 2 were grilled and one came out blackened and too spicy for her to eat.  The manager was called and we reordered two fish with a request to not over cook them.  My other friend decided to play it safe and got a burger.  Good decision!  The second plate of fish was also overdone.  Schnitzel with Hunter sauce was also dry and exceedingly salty.  I know this is new management, they really need to work on the kitchen.

We had lunch and dinner at this location. Both meals were delicious and brought out in a timely fashion. I didn't like the magic potatoes or the strawberry sauce on the cheesecake, though

I've been here a few times. Once was fantastic. The next few times were kinda crappy. One time we ordered an appetizer and somehow our entrees arrived before the appetizer. Turned out the waitress forgot about our entree. My problem with that was the simple issue that we were one of 3 tables in the restaurant. The food was awesome one time but meh the other times. I'd still choose this over many other locations in Wimberley square hoping for that awesome experience again. I've never been when the live music is happening, so perhaps that adds some fun.

Do not go here on a sunday eve. I wasnever asked how my food was, if i needed a refill, or if i wanted dessert. Of the dozens of times i have eaten here, this was my first bad experience. Fresh veggie selection is limited too. The same blend from Sysco. No variety. CCC, please teach waitstaff how to WAIT on people.

This place was recommended by a local, dubbing it good but expensive. The only true remark was the expensive remark.
We started off our meal with the roasted poblano queso and chips. The queso had a good flavor but the chips were so stale & chewy you couldn't eat them. We asked our server about them and he said he would check if they had any fresher chips. When he returned to our table he responded saying "That's as good as you get." We didn't eat anymore and he didn't take it off our ticket; this was $5.95.
I ordered the chicken bacon melt with sweet potato fries $8.95, my husband ordered The Texan with regular fries $10.95, and we ordered kids fish with sweet potato fries and the kids steak also with spf; the kids meals were ALL priced at $6.95 even Mac & cheese or a grilled cheese. They bragged that the kids lil ccc Sizzler was the juiciest little sirloin in Texas.Really it was a joke. Ordered it med-rare, when it came out it was little hunks of stew meat cooked well done. They had a nice flavor but were so tough the kids wouldn't eat it. The best thing about this meal were the sweet potato fries. It was grossly overpriced for the quality and quantity of food.
In conclusion, don't take the recommendation of the employees at the general store, for all I know the general store probably owns Cypress Creek Cafe.

The fact that this place offered only two veggie-friendly options, seemingly more by chance than deliberation, I found myself surprised here by how damn good a big plate of fettuccine Alfredo could be.

I'm typically not a fan of big dishes of one monotonous food, but the dish was complicated with herbs and the Alfredo was fresh-tasting, which made finishing it easy. The Texas toast wedges that came with it were warm and tasty and helped. Four wedges of toast instead of only two would have made the dish perfect in my mind.

My dinner also came with a small plate of steamed veggies, which were over-steamed just to the point of being flavorless and not crisp. Nevertheless, I appreciated the gesture from a restaurant that I figured would have nothing veggie-friendly on the menu but a house salad.

I'm giving this place 5 stars for the best nightlife in Wimberley.

I agree the food is so so for the price and  defintiely not the reason to come here.

You should come on a night when they got music or just the house band and you'll be jamming and grooving in this hip little joint. I would have never imagined this could exist in such a small town but it does. At CCC I've seen it all jammin jazz, folky accoustic, and gypsey fire dancers.

    Way to go Triple C.

This place is really forgettable.  Everything that could be soggy, was.  The inside out nachos are a $9 bowl of beans with a squirt of cheese and a few crumbs of mystery meat with a plate of chips.  I suppose that is the chef's attempt at Texas "fusion".  The tortilla soup had no chicken in it as listed on the menu.  The chips again were soggy and falling apart as opposed to "crispy" as listed on the menu.  The sweet potato french fries were yet again...soggy.  But they tasted EXACTLY like the ones I have had at other cafes so I suppose they are probably delivered frozen to the restaurant.

The staff seemed very amicable to taking most of the soggy and misrepresented items off the bill, so they must get a lot of that.
