You know, if I'm going to go to a bar in random Jersey (because of its proximity to McGuire AFB), Dadz isn't half bad. There's generally always seating in the back area (even on a weekend), the bar is HUGE, the prices are silly cheap, and even the people in the dancing/karaoke area seemed to be having a good time.
Yes, some people wear hunting clothes as regular clothes.
Yes, generally all the food is fried.
But as long as you're there with good people, it's fine.
Being one of those places you can see but can't get to "ahem". Â Well you can once you know how to. Â Great place to kick back, listen to great live music and throw back a few. Â Excellent selection of brews on tap. My only complaint is the food is ehh...... Wifey had piroges and they were dry and had no taste. Â My steak sandwich was nothing to write home about. Â Plenty of parking but the parking lot is like driving on the moon (craters). Â All in all, I would go back even if it was just for the cold ones and the great music.
Review Source:It's a biker/sports/afterwork/happy houring kind of bar. Â Great wings and there personalized pizzas are nice. Â Can't speak for seating service but bartenders I do get a lunch time are great.
I don't go there at night anymore gets way to crazy in there and service does get slow. Â The last night I was there I left after 15 minutes never saw a bartender and bar was practically full of people.
I haven't experienced the bar in action, just stopped by this weekend for lunch. The place is large with lots of outdoor seating. The beer bongs mounted on the wall looking promising.
What I ordered: fiesta burger w/ onion rings.
What I received: a glorious (somewhat too greasy) burger with onions, bacon, and cheese. Too much grease, but totally tasty nonetheless. And the onion rings were practically perfect. There wasn't too much batter, and damn it had a good flavor.
I'd go back just for a gander of the eve scene--probably on a Thursday when they combine fajita special with $3 you name it shot/beer/drinks.
I came here to watch UFC fights, which they almost always show. Â They charge a $10 cover during the fights, which is only worth it if your a big fan. Â The beer selection is decent with typical bar food to match. Â This seems like a local spot, relatively low key as well. Â Seems like a good neighborhood pick if you should be in the area.
Review Source:It's a shame they made an interesting building look so tacky. TV's and neon signs blind you everywhere you look. This place is HUGE.
My father and my fiance stopped by here, they promised they had a decent beer selection. I was pleasantly surprised to find a variety of pumpkin beers and other seasonals from various breweries. Better than your average dive.
The one thing that blew me away were the homemade mozzarella sticks. BEST MOZZARELLA STICKS I'VE EVER HAD. I know it's not hard to bread a strip of cheese and serve it with a side of marinara sauce, but there was something about these sticks... they were special. This was extremely surprising with my low expectations after walking in there. If I ever go back, it will be because of them.
I was working in the area a few days ago and stopped in Dadz for some lunch with a coworker. I am not sure how the nightlife is here, but the food was very good. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger medium rare and loved it! In fact it was one of the best burgers that I've had in a long time. It also appeared that they have really good beer and food specials throughout the week. Our waitress was also friendly and attentive. I live pretty far from the area, but if I find myself in the Lumberton/Mt. Holly area again, I will be sure to put in an appearance at Dadz.
Review Source:Ummm, I know I shouldn't expect much from a glorified dive bar, but sometimes you just hope beyond all hopes its going to be good. Well Dadz did not deliver. Besides the huge deck addition they made a few years back, they haven't plunked a dime into the original guts of the bar. Ever. It's run down, beat up and dirty. Its the kind of place where you don't even want to use the bathroom unless it's an emergency. Anyway, the food is worse than normal bar food, and the service is spotty. I'm pretty sure our server was from the Jersey Shore, and couldn't care less about her tables. We only saw her twice the whole time we were there, once to get our order and once to give us the check. The only saving grace for this place is that they had pretty good seasonal beers on tap. Now I can't remember the name of it but they had a pumpkin ale that I've never had before and it was really good. That was clearly unexpected.
So if you must go here (and I have no idea why but...) stick with the beer and eat somewhere else. Anywhere else.
I've heard great things about this place ever since I moved to Lumberton. I finally tried it today. Service was average. Since they do an open air thing at night I'm assuming, all of the flies must have been trapped in the building from the night before. It was pretty nasty. I thought maybe it was just our seating area since we were near a door and closed window, but not so--several of them were swarming (mating??) around the bar area. Beyond that, it's a real frat-boy place. No Harp on tap.
The menu has a decent selection, that is if you're lucky enough to get a menu that isn't covered in grease and barbecue sauce. I actually stopped drinking for fear of the ladies room--if the window sills are that dusty and flies mate freely throughout the joint, I feel weird about sitting on a chair there, let alone a toilet seat.
The food itself was a bit better than average for a pub, but nothing ruins yummy pirogies or a pilsner of Sam Adams faster than a fly landing on them.
Save yourself the trouble and have a cookout.
So me and my wife went here for wings and beer, right? Okay, so lets start with the positive, the menu has pretty much every amazing fried barfood item you could ever imagine, and I ordered 12 wings which were HUGE. The wings were very good but I ordered them "hot" and found them to be quite mild. My wife ordered fried mushrom bites which were really good too. The waitress was very nice and all of the servers were not bad to look at, so thumbs up for that. Now, here's the bad, the monkey at the door charged us both 5 dollars to get in, are you kidding me?!?! It was about 8:30 at night, and we were there to eat, not participate in the ghetto-ass karaoke and "dance night" which this was booked as, which actually consisted of an inept DJ who couldn't get his own equipment to work. There are two sections of this bar, the back area which we sat in, which had the feel of a good old-fashioned dive and the front room, dun dun dunnnnnn. We went through the front door, and holy sh*tballs Batman, I wanted to leave immediately. Nothing but college sports hats, fake tans, beer bongs and hospital lighting. Luckily we found the back room, which was straight. So, all in all, good for food, but don't come here for the entertainment. p.s. They are open til 3am and have decent food and drink specials daily.
Review Source:Dadz is a sports bar and a restaurant. Â There are a good number of tvs, so you'll always be sure to see whatever sport it is you're looking for (including golf, tennis, and auto-racing.) Â During the NFL season, they carry all the games. Â The bar itself is dark, and the walls and ceiling are covered with trophies and other memorabilia. Â Recently, Dadz grealy expanded the number of beers they carry on tap (close to 20.) Â Dadz is also well known in the area for BBQ ribs and buffalo wings. Â It was voted best in those categories in Burlington County for 2008.
Recently Dadz remodeled and added an outdoor deck where smoking is permitted. Â They also run regular poker leagues and feature live music weekly.

At one point, they had TWO places... one on 541 in Burlington (Now "Canal's) and Dadz. Â
The folks at Dadz don't seem to know the items on the old "Sunset" menu, which is a bummer. They had a great BBQ chicken sandwich with their own sauce, cheese, and bacon. It's a pain to describe it each time you order it, and it never comes out the same way you asked for it. Â When the cole slaw is good... it's great. Â Gotta catch it on the right night.
That said, Â it IS good food. Â Not a place for kids~ it's a BAR~ so we usually do take-out.
This bar is good for the sports bar type, it used to be a dive but now they've made so much money that it's much nicer. They get all different people from the young 21 crowd up to the old grandpas that have been going there since day 1. There are 17 beers on tap I believe, at least somewhere around that number. Pretty recently they've added Stone Arrogant Bastard, but besides that they have; Bud, Bud light, Miller Lite, Framboise Lambic(raspberry beer), Hoeggarden, Old Thumper, Blue Moon, Sierra Nevada, Stoudts American Pale Ale, Yuengling, Hook and Ladder, some kind of pumpkin Ale, and quite a few others. That's all I could remember for now. It seems that they are trying to get into the craft beer styles but don't know what beer to get yet. Hook and Ladder looks like it would be a decent beer and they told me that it was a more bitter style, but it tasted like yellow piss with an antacid pill for carbonation. The Old Thumper was okay for a brown ale, but I would much rather shoot for an Old Brown Dog by Smuttynose. Â The bartenders don't know about beer, but they can definitely make some mixed drinks. So far this is the only place I've been to that actually layered my Oatmeal Cookie. I go there because it's the closest bar to my house, check it out for yourself, it's not bad, but I could get better beer at a different bar for the same or less money.
I forgot, they have food, it's okay. I've heard that it got better since I quit working in this kitchen, but it's pretty much just your average bar menu; wings, burgers, they started some pizza thing lately, quesadillas, and fajitas. But I might be wrong as I haven't even glanced at a food menu there since I've worked there...
