Dairy Queen

Well, as a vegan, there isn't much to eat at a DQ.  I was only here because I was on a road trip with my youth group and this was the only place around.  I had a side salad and a lemon-lime freeze drink.  (I forgot what they were called).  The salad was lettuce and tomatoes, and the drink was a little too sweet.  My husband ordered Jalitos (fried jalapeno skins) and they were so burnt they were black.  Glad I don't live in Cooper and this is my only eating out option.

I am not  a Dairy Queen fan,and rarely stop at one. We were out riding around on Fri evening 10/12/12 . We pulled in to get a burger and what a surprise
 If they would make their own burger patty it would really go to the top of my list as a great place to get a burger
We really thought it would be the same old style cold dry bun with a hot dry patty and covered in mustard or mayo depending on what you ask for
They bring it out to us and the first bite nearly put me in shock. The meat even though thin was soft and moist and cooked just right,the bun was toatsed enough that it had that old fashion bun taste . The Mayo on mine was spread out over the bun and not globbed on ,the wife had mustard and hers was the same it added flavor not cover up the taste of everything else.
This was as good of a burger as you could ask for
This is the first time we have eaten here and did find out the young man that cooked ours is only there after 4 in the afternoon.
Going any other time than after 4 pm or latter  could be a hit or miss not sure how good the other cooks are but If you should be in the area late afternoon evening then give this Dairy Queen a try.
This is an older place so it will look a little rough but don't let that stop you it is clean on the inside,the staff is as friendly as you will find
This will for sure be a place we will drive back to on a weekend
