We felt lucky to find this place when we were unexpectedly delayed in the area. We liked the selection of Great Lakes brews on tap, and our steak quesadilla was really better than the usual, especially since we were asked how we wanted our steak cooked! The interior is handsome - an old corner bar with big windows and original woodwork. Comfortable, spacious. Our waiter, William, was fun. My only complaint is the music - too loud, and too random (jukebox).
It was too hot for the patio the night we were there, unfortunately. But I would like to go back on a cooler evening and enjoy the breeze right by Lake Erie.
Daly's is hit or miss for me. Seems like it's always either too dead or too busy. But like many other spots around Sandusky, go with a fun enough group of friends and it really doesn't matter. I don't really order food here but they offer a pretty decent beer selection and the service is usually really good.
Basically, don't go for the scheduled entertainment. Plan on bringing your own and you'll have a good time. Patio is the place to be so if you get a table, don't give it up. But I think they still close it down early thanks to the tenants across the street making noise complaints.
I will say ever since they got the bathroom plumbing cleaned up this place has went up in my book.I will say the patio in the summertime(VIEW OF LAKE ERIE) can rate with any patio in Cleveland or Columbus. The beer selection is very good with Great Lakes Brewery on tap.The staff is very good at serving and the food is decent but not better than across the street.I prefer Dalys in the summer on the patio with a nice breeze off the lake because thats something your not going to find in alot of spots around  Lake Erie.I did notice the Tremont people hanging out from time to time with the dogs but they were cool...
Review Source:It closed and has recently reopened. Â The owner was leasing it out to someone and now he's taken over management. Â They put some money into it. Â The restroom doesn't smell like sewer anymore, there is new flooring and the bar was re-varnished. Â I like the waitstaff, they're friendly and attractive (Tabby especially).
It's nice that they have actual food there again instead of just a few fried selections. Â I tried the Chicken Al fredo recently and it fell far below my expectations. Â It was $12 and came with a very small side salad. Â When the actual entree arrived it was pretty underwhelming. Â The chicken breasts hadn't been cut, they were still whole. Â The pasta wasn't fettucini as one would expect. Â And the "al fredo" sauce was a glorified roux. Â It tasted like flour and butter. Â I had to apply unhealthy amounts of salt and pepper to get any taste out of it. Â It was pretty underwhelming, especially for the price paid.
I had my first BlowJob here. Â My first Screaming Orgasm, too. Â And my first Sex on the Beach. And believe it or not, my first Brain. Â Dina and I spent many many hours falling off the barstools laughing here, at the best non-gay tavern on the North Coast. One night a cute bartender ran us through the catechism of pottymouth drinks. Â I can still see that Brain, quivering there in my fist, knowing it was coming back up later.
