D'antonio's Pizza Lodi

I have yet to figure out why a town with a smaller population than a Carnival cruise ship needs two pizza places literally around the corner from each other. But of the two, I would definitely recommend D'Antonio's, and not just because the other is currently in the process of changing hands from one pizza chain to another, neither of which we will deign to name here. Don't be discouraged by the hole-in-the-wall premises or the rather, uh, interesting looking, tattooed employees. Doesn't that only add to its authenticity? My parents have been buying from this place for years, as did their parents before them, and so on and so forth. It's time-tested by my forebears; D'Antonio's makes some great pizza-soft, thick, crust, a substantial layer of gooey cheese, and so much grease that the toppings tend to swim to one side if you don't set the box level in your car. Heart-attack inducing? Maybe. Delicious? Absolutely.
