Del Norte Tacos

Well I was finally "in the neighborhood" and have been wanting to see if this place lived up to all the hype. Have to say overall I'm pretty disappointed. My quesadilla had very good flavor & the portion size was pretty fair. But I had ordered my food to go & they crammed it in a box that was way too small. By the time I got it home it was a mess. Two items on the menu, the roasted corn & the Torta, were not available. They took my order & payment for the Torta before finding out it wasn't available. Then I had to wait for an extended period while the nice young lady that waited on me had to call someone to figure out how to refund my bank card. I was also given three little containers to put my beans in when one big one would've been more sufficient. And speaking of the beans, they along with the other two sides, some sort of rice & potato salad were very disappointing & totally lacking any flavor or seasoning. Then when I was about to leave, the girl informs me that she forgot to give me some tortilla chips that apparently are supposed to be included with my order. No type of salsa or anything with them & they are just stale & pretty uneventful. In the future I hope food quality improves & that they inform customers of what they're either out of and/or what's unavailable on their menu before ordering. Adequate sized food containers for items would also prove helpful. The young lady at the front counter was uninformed regarding certain things but very friendly. At least I didn't get a bad attitude on top of all the other disappointment.

Went to Texas for a friend's wedding and wanted to have some good Tex-mex while we were down there.  Found this place had good reviews on urbanspoon, and so we went there for lunch.  

First thing to mention is that when you come up it smells like delicious bbq!!!  And we were not disappointed!  My husband got the brisket taco and the pulled pork taco and he said both were amazing.  I got the chili relleno platter with tilapia, and my mouth is watering just remembering it!

We also shared an order of chips and guac, which was enormous and fresh and delicious.

I highly recommend this place -- you'll see why the locals love it!

This place has amazing food! It is always worth the drive from Dallas. You can taste the freshness of the food. The enchiladas are superb. Quest is great and the salsa is fresh. I love the smoked taste of all of the meats. Not sure why people would think Mexican restaurants have a vegan menu? This place should gets stars all around
