Went there for a free birthday grand slam with my family. Waitress took our order, but then came back because she apparently only half listened to my husband's order. Retold her what he wanted. She brought drinks, mine being a coffee, but we had no silverware for me to stir in my sugar and cream. We told two people we needed it, but it still took 15 minutes to get silverware. Waited and waited for food and people were getting served ahead of us. Food finally arrives cold. Pancakes only half cooked. My husband asked the waitress how long the food had been sitting back there. Her answer? "I don't know." In the end, our whole meal was free, but we won't return.
Review Source:I never thought I'd say this about a Denny's. At a truck stop. In Kentucky. Or ever really, since I associate the chain with things like "the middle of the night," "grease," and "being drunk," but somehow...somehow it's really good. Â
I've been here three times now, and the food tastes clean, well-cooked, and fresh. You can get veggie burgers for beet's sake! When did that happen? The eggs are fluffy, the oatmeal is thick, the vegetable sides are crisp. Dude. It's never been that tasty in CA.
The service is great too. The waitresses are total sweethearts and the plates come out quick.
